It screams "scam" to me.

DO NOT
give them that information. I know there's a way to say it's real, but ebay says they'll never ask for that stuff via email.

ETA: If it were a real ebay site, it'd have their logo in the address field (where the URL is)

I got one, luckily got the warning ahead of time that it is a scam, but it is a pretty good one, I mean the e-mail looks likes it's from ebay.

And ebay wouldn't ask you for your social security number. Whoever sent this asked for all the right info to really screw you. You should report it to ebay.

I got one of these that wanted even more info... Luckily I knew something was wrong. I think they were asking for my personal checking accounts and maiden name as well.. Dh showed me how to trace the email and it wasn't from ebay at all. This was 4 months ago and I filed it with ebay.

Ebay would never ask you to randomly fill out all that private info again. I hope nobody falls for it!! As I recall my email stated that unless I filled out all my info again my buying and selling privileges would be suspended. So I was very upset because I had just recently updated my credit card info otherwise I might have been fooled...

never respond to anything that asks for personal information like that. ebay has stated that there are scams out there and that they would never ask you to fill out any personal information ever via email. always to got www.ebay.com and same with pay pal, they will never ask you to submit any personal information via email. again NEVER EVER submit your personal information through email and always only do it on the specific institutional site you intend to do it on and double check that you are on a secure site (ie. bank , ebay, paypal, cc's, mortgage, ect).
