I have pretty bad scarring on my cornea from an infection. My dominant eye now has little focus - everything is one big blur. This is really depressing me and making life difficult. I get dizzy just walking around because one eye is 20/20 and the other is blurrrr.

Anyone have a transplant? Was it worth it? How worried are/were you about infectious disease from the donor cornea? How was recovery? Did you get your sight back - if so, how much?

I am worried because the infection that caused the scar could come back at any time....is it worth it to have the surgery just to have the infection come back and damage it again?

I am so depressed.

New Natural Mom,
I don't know about corneal transplant but I have gotten alot of info and support from a website called Daily Strength. There you will find support groups for ever kind of medical issue. Mine was glaucoma and retinal detachment.
Also do some research on the 'net-that also helped me with info on dye drops and surgeries.
I hope you find the answers you need.
