I'm a little concerned. My ears are incredibly sensitive - as in noises that normally wouldn't have turned my head before are now acutely painful to hear.

About a month ago I was housesitting in a place that was very echo-y - great acoustics, but little sounds were amplified very loudly. I think it may have happened then.

Has anyone experienced this? Is eardrum damage something that reverses itself or am I looking at a permanent situation here? What sort of doctor should I see to address this?

Any advice/thoughts much appreciated...
