I saw my midwife on Monday evening.
This is likely my last time to see my midwife *T* as she is going on maternity leave very soon - she is due with her baby at the end of December.
The specifics
We also borrowed a few of the DVD's they have available - a couple that show homebirths, and one aimed at older siblings. We found last time that showing Owen videos of a birth seemed to help him when it was time - he was used to the sounds of labour, and the sight of the blood and such.

The specifics
- My weight gain is a total of 10 lbs. Thier office scale weighs me about 4 to 5 lbs lighter than my home scale, so it looks weird - I have to remember to just use my home scale (I forgot last time, and it looks like I gained 9 lbs in the last 4 weeks ! )
- Fundal height is a little high, but good (I forgot to write down the number, I'll get it next time)
- Baby's heart-rate was fluctuating between the 140's to 150's, and babe was moving a LOT.
- I got my requisition for my prenatal RhoGam, and told to "if you can get a place locally, get it. If not - no worries" If there are any indications for it between now and the birth, it can be given then instead (trauma that would possibly lead to an internal bleed)
- Was told NOT to get the GTT, which is good, since I had no intention of it anyhow. She doesn't like how all the local labs have different cut-offs and specifications on how to do the test (ie - some fast, some don't).
- Got my perscription for my vitamins until the end of the pregnancy - I'll go back to drug-store brand prenatal/postnatals after baby arrives
- She recoomends chiro over physio for my SI and PSD pain
- Blood pressure was great - at 112/70
