OK - DH and I hated co-sleeping with DS (which we did from age 2 to 5). He was and is a "violent" sleeper. He is super hot. He thrashes all night long - kicking you in the ribs, legs, head. For 3 years I felt like I never ever went in to deep sleep b/c my body was jolted awake every few minutes by my flailing baby boy.

So - I was dreading the thought of co-sleeping with the triplets. And just like their older brother, around 2 years old they too wanted to co-sleep (mostly the boys). Anyway - totally different experience. They are peaceful non-thrashing around sleepers. Just snuggly and comfy and I don't mind it a bit -- even the fact that I am co-sleeping with 4 in a bed now (sometimes 5)! I generally sleep well and no real complaints . . .

Anyone have this experience? Just curious. . . .

Sleeping with our middle daughter was a breeze. Sleeping with our youngest is a nightmare like your oldest son.

My kids have all been different sleepers. My first was a nightmare and would end up with her feet in my ribs and her head in my dh's ribs EVERY night. My second didn't like cosleeping at all. If he touched someone else he would wake up instantly and would be grumpy. When I put him in a bassinet next to our bed he slept like a dream. My 3rd coslept (when he was sleeping) pretty well and my last baby is a dream. She is just snuggly and cozy and doesn't thrash around at all. I know that I am not a great person to sleep with and know that I would have been a nightmare to cosleep with as a child. I am a serious thrasher and was even worse as a child.
dd was a snuggle bug who is 4 and still in our bed from time to time (and hogging it as I write!) ...ds1 was a kicker and toss/turner so he did better in a co sleeper then crib when he started to get more active. ds2 now is turning out to be the same as ds1 and sleeps better in his own crib beside our bed I was looking forward to another snugglebug but at least he sleeps better then dd ever did at this age!

My DD (4) wouldn't sleep unless she was attached to me. Now DS is here and seems to sleep better by himself & wakes me often if he's in bed with us. I still bring him in with me once he wakes up though, there's just nothing like a snuggly baby, even if he does keep waking up to nurse!

And DD usually ends up in the bed too. Between the two of them, I don't care where they sleep at this point, I just want them to sleep! LOL!
