That is me! I am 7 weeks along and am a bit concerned about the possibility of hemmorhage, but the midwife said I do not risk out. I am using a CNM who carries pitocin and I live five minutes from a good hospital. I don't know if I would feel comfortable home birthing without a midwife who had something to stop or slow bleeding. I know nipple stimulation can help but it sounds painful! I also probably will have the baby get a postpartum vitamin K shot, in case any of my blood thinners reach him or her.

Also, unless your doctor is unusually daring, he might feel he HAS to say "no home birth" in order to C his A, legally. The best person with whom to consult would probably be a midwife, maybe other than your mom if you are concerned that your mother would be too emotionally involved to be objective.
