So my dd is 3 mos and I am pretty sure I am pregnant again. The test said negative but with both my dc the first one always says neg and the second pos. I have all the symptoms..heartburn, tired, emotional, nausious, headaches and I could go on. For those that have done it...I need some advice/encouragement. I feel like I JUST had her (well I guess I kinda did) and my ds is only 3..oh my gosh!

Also I am breastfeeding..will I lose my supply?

My kids are just shy of fourteen months apart. Totally unexpected as well. And it's been fine, really. Sometimes it's not thrilling, but sometimes one baby isn't thrilling either. And sometimes it's really fantastic. Get a good sling, and get sleep when and while you can.

Whether or not you lose your supply is totally individual. Some do, some don't. (I did.) Some babies nurse right on through the loss until you're producing milk again. Others stop and start again. Others just stop. They'll all things that can't be known in advance.

However ... my second was born last July. In December I started experiencing pregnancy symptoms. And again in January, and again in February. After the first go around with an unplanned pregnancy I tested like a fiend, all negative .... and in March I got my period. Sometimes it really is just hormones trying to get back into their groove after pregnancy and birth.

Mine are 11 months apart. I was not BFing my first, so I can't say from experience, but you will lose your supply at some point...when, I don't know. You can continue nursing if you'd like and tandem nurse after you have the baby.

It was the same situation for me. I knew I was pregnant, I did get a negative at first before I got a positive. Pregnancy was very difficult for me--preterm labor and bedrest. I found the age difference to be easy for the most part. You don't deal with the jealousy or aggression, in my experience at least. PM me if you ever have any questions.

Can you go for a blood test? I wonder if it is just returning fertility?

Supply is very individual. I did not loose my milk until it became colostrum around 20-22 weeks. It wasn't a big deal anyway as my ds was over 1 yo. Obviously you will need to give it more attention since your baby's only nutrition is breast milk. Do what you can for you - rest, eat, drink. Here is a good link.
