I am 26 wks and still having trouble with my appetite. I have yet to reach the I want to eat everything stage, and struggle to think of things to eat daily. I was like this with my first as well, but not this bad. I wish I wish I was famished and wanted to eat like mad. On the days when I do have a good appetite and look forward to a meal, or crave something it is so wonderful.

Does anyone have any tips on improving your appetite? I am eating, don't get me wrong, but I want to long to eat... And I don't feel I am getting enough because of this lack of desire.

Is anyone else going through this?

Me!!!! I'm just not hungry. If it weren't for feeding my little ones, I really might forget to eat. It's really weird for me. Glad I'm not alone

BTDT! Acually, this is the first pregnancy where I wanted to eat at all in the first tri. and now I have lost quite a bit of interest in food.

I would say to make sure you are otherwise healthy, take your vitamin and make sure to get enough sleep (if there is such a thing!)

Me!
I just don't seem to be as hungry as usual.
I am not snacking, really. Just the basic 3 meal-a day.
And it's NOT because I don't want to gain weight....I am a plus-sized mama to begin with, and I LOVE being pregnant and could care less about the weight gain.
I'm just don't feel like eating a ton this time for some reason.
But I try to eat good stuff as much as possible.

It's so nice to see that I'm not alone. I did have a craving today for Thai food and it was so good! Got to grab those cravings when I can! It's hard too because I carry small and tend to measure smaller than my wks and so I feel like I am making this happen, and am given a hard time of it because of this. Guilt guilt guilt. Must get rid of the guilt...

Ugh. I am so sick of food. I am 34 weeks now, and it takes me so long to come up with somehting to eat that actually sounds good to me. Half the time I take one bite of it and I don't want it anymore. I do have GD as well, and unfortunately I am developing a real aversion to all meat and cheese and other protein foods. All I want to eat is ice cream. I actually stay up extra late just so I can eat some ice cream because for some reason late night sugar doesn't make my blood sugars too high. HMMM

I too haven't had much of an appetite this pg. Maybe its because I am busy I don't have time to really think about food. At times though i will crave something. I make sure to take my vitamins just so I know that the baby is getting nutrition. Look at it this way, at least we aren't creating bad eating habits that may haunt us after we have the babies. I have a few friends who ate and ate and ate while pg and then had a hard time afterwards losing the weight and changing their eating habits.

I am the same way!! I am due in just 6 weeks and I haven't wanted food at ALL this entire pg. I practically have to force-feed myself most days. In fact, I haven't gained ANY weight yet!! (I was the same way w/ dd.) I have been hoovering within 1lb of my pre-pg weight for nearly 2 months. I am still measuring normal, and the baby seems plenty active. My dr says that the baby will take the nutrients first and any left over will go to me.

Some days, I figure that anything I can get down my throat is better than nothing at all. So if you are craving anything or feel like eating at all, get it in you quickly before your system changes it's mind.

Good Luck
