I'm moving to Martin county (palm city) in a few weeks, My husband is going to work at FPL, so this is going to be my first time alone with my daughter(6months old today!) I'm really nervous about the move and would like to meet some other like minded mothers

I'm moving from Daytona Beach, not too far of a drive! I lived in Stuart for a while so I'm pretty familiar with the area :)

I'll be there hopefully soon. I've just gotta wait on my house selling over here. I was born at Martin Memorial, grew up there, graduated from MCHS and then moved on... but I cannot wait to get back -- LOVE the area! What a nice place for kids!

Hey Ashley!: Thanks for the congrats. I was kinda wondering, if your situation would allow, why not rent out your house for awhile for extra income and build up equity until the housing market improves? I had to do that when I initially left New Orleans, cos I got tired of it sitting on the market while living in another state, on the other hand it was a pain dealing w/ tenants from afar. Luckily they were reliable w/ the rent and the house sold before Katrina: !

Hey Christine!
Well, we have a second mortgage as well and couldn't really do the rent thing. It is fine. Technically, stbx pays for all regular living expenses (everything really) until the house sells. Initially I recommended a lower selling price but he wanted a higher one. Since he has to cover everything while I'm here -- ALLLRIGHTY then! Once it is sold, then I'm on my own, aside from child support.
I may swing into town for dd's 1st bday the week preceding March 12th. I'll let you know if I come in for more than a day or two and can meet up with folks.
Otherwise, once there is a solid offer on the house (whenever that may be) then I'll be house hunting over there.
We'll see!!!
