My family has lived here for about a year and a half now. We moved from Portland, OR, so to say it is a bit of culture shock is an understatement. We are learning our way around, and have found a couple of very nice communities. But it's always nice to meet other mamas!<br><br>
I have an (almost) seven year old boy. We home school. Right now, my husband works and I don't, but I may be into finding a part time job somewhere, if only for the benefits that my husbands job doesn't provide. I feel like I'm writing a personal add here! It would be great to hook up with some other Home schooling kids, too, though. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I am in Wilmington sometimes for shopping, appointments, etc. I grew up mostly in New England, but have lived in NC for 8 years this summer.<br><br>
I belong to the Wilmington AP group as well. My daughters are Zeta (b.12/16/2003, name sounds like the greek letter) and Aurelia (sounds like, 'Australia.' b. 10/3/2005)<br><br>
I can't make it to this week's play date because my family will be in the NC foothills for Merlefest, an Americana music festival. I look forward to meeting you and seeing all our other AP friends soon, though!
