Thank you busymommy!! Yea, everyone says you really have to suck on them......hmmmmmm guess Ill check them out b4 I buy. There is a camping store (Popular) that carries them in town. Dont have kids ones though.
Hey.......might as well ask you......when I called the store just now, they said some of them are just a twist off top.......and some of them have the pop up sport bottle type top. Is that right? I saw one on ebay that was a kids, that had the dome plastic lid, but it showed it with the dome lid off, and underneath looked like a pop up pull top.......
Maybe the person I talked to didnt look at them. Guess Ill just have to go in and see for myself. Did you get yours on sierra trading post? Which one did you get?
Sierra
only type/style they had. .6 pretty sure
I got ALL the colors :LOL
Ours have a cover top that I removed (annoyingly in the way but does have a teeny loop for storage). Under that, it's a twist, pop-up if that makes sense; ie. twist it and it raises up and looks like an ordinary bike water bottle. But, since you can't squeeze, you suck.
Well, ive got all my tupperware in a huge bag to go to storage. (DH thinks im nuts)......and i want to replace dds sippy with this. Just figured out, it still is cheaper online bc of having to pay tax.....so might as well order online.
I just heard about these SIGG bottles and looked them up on eBay. Are they aluminum? And if thats the case, is aluminum not bad for you? My mom's been on a crusade to eliminate it from both her house and mine for years.
So please tell me more about these bottles! My interest in piqued!
He has more options available--- just email him. I ended up with 4 .3L (10 ounces, btw, .5L is 16.9 ounces, .6L is 20 ounces) for $25 including shipping. I'm pretty sure they are last year's models, but they are NIP and that is fine w/me.
BusyMommy: in case you didnt see my posts on the thread:SIGG co-op (revised?) here is the response i got from SiGG...
"The liner is water-based and food grade. It exceeds all FDA requirements for food liners. It contains no petroleum products. The liner is non-reactive and safe for all potable beverages. It does not leach bisphenol A."
"The bottles are pure aluminum. There is no metal in the liner, and the liner prevents the liquid contents from contacting the aluminum."
I looked at the SIGG bottles on the Sierra Trading post, and they appeared to have plastic spouts. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a metal bottle? Or am I missing something?
