I really want to try postpartum belly binding, I just can't figure which one to get. Anyone else already pick one out, or use one before? Which one? Any advice on this list of what's out there?

Here is what I have found:

The links don't work. I'm not getting one, though. I was incredibly senstive to anything touching my belly after birth and would have hated it. I also had lots of productive after-pains and no problem with my uterus going back down quickly. Although it was painful, I feel like it all took care of itself, and in a short amount of time.

I did belly binding after my last birth and I will be doing it again. I made my own out of fabric that stretched up and down not side to side if that makes sense.......I sewed strips of it together to make a really long at least a foot wide ace wrap so to speak.......it worked great. I just wrapped it around and around myself and tucked it in and thanks to it I was able to stand upright within hours......it felt wonderful! Really was nice on my back.

I just started hearing about the belly bandit this time around and would like to try it this time.

HTH.

I've been looking into this as well because the idea is quite intriguing to me. And yeah, maybe becaus this is child #4 there's something about a super-stretched out belly that makes me want to try to 'pamper' and help things out as much as I can ...

That said, I haven't a clue what I'd do. I had only seen the Belly Bandit before. and *did* think about just making my own sort of wrap... never thought about putting the stretch going up/down, but that makes an interesting point... hm..!

I'm doing it, and it has nothing to do with my uterus, and everything to do with counteracting gravity's effect on all of that loose belly skin, lol. I want it to have a chance to skrink back without gravity's pull on it.
