My family will be moving back to the East Bay in a couple of weeks. We'll be in Walnut Creek for the first few months until we find a permanent home somewhere in the area.

Where I live now there is a great nursing support group and an active API chapter. I'd love to find something similar near our new home. Or a natural parenting playgroup? Something? I don't want to be lonely!

I live in WC and it's great here! So family friendly, tons of nursing moms (I often see mama's nursing babies and toddlers uncovered), homeschooling etc. There is an LLL that meets in downtown I think, they keep changing the location, and one of the leaders goes to a homeschool park group, but you don't have to homeschool to go it. We moved here last year and stayed in a temp apt for about 6 weeks while we found a more permanent home to rent. People here are so nice, I love it. Let me know if you want to know anything else!

I'm in Berkeley, not WC. But if you look on meetup.com, there seem to be lot of attachment parenting and homeschool groups with most of their meetups out that way. I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding what you are looking for. :) And I loved Day One in downtown WC as a lovely place to pop in and nurse my daughter when we where walking around there. They also have new mom and baby classes as well as lactation support.
