Okay yep I'm a wagon-member - but I'm still trolling for the next size up (only way to justify dipe purchases anymore : )

Did anyone's child never use a size large?

Dd's FB and HH seem like they might fit FOREVER (she is 8 months old and about 19 lbs). She is about average size, not super slim. She's also almost walking - and I've heard they slim down even more when they walk.

What do you think? I have some FCB size 2's that I know she will move into soon (although the legs are kind of big on her) because in size 1 we are getting to the last couple snap settings.

my oldest has recently potty learned so she is only in dipes occassionally at night, but she has never seen a large. size 2 dipes fit her well, as do mediums. she is going to be 3 in aug, and i think she might weigh 27-28 lbs. her little sister is 14 mo and 18 lbs and still in smalls, so i don't think she'll see a large either.

that's me. My dd potty learned at 21lbs (just under 2yrs old). She's a petite thing. She could probably still squeeze into some smalls :LOL

the question for us is when did Ava NOT wear a size large? We started cd'ing at 12 wks and she was 14.5 lbs. We were exclusivel FB at the time. At her 4 mth appt she was 18.3lbs and at 6 mths was 22lbs. Around 5 months we switched to large FB at night because the were getting too tight with nighttime stuffing. Then about 6 months we switched to large all the time. We're no longer exclusively FB but she's in large EVERYTHING.

An occassional medium will fit here and there - Firefly and Berry Patch mediums fit but large fits better.

I reallllly thought dd would never use larges... but she's gained 11 1/2 lb from age 9 months to 18 months.... let's just say we're in LARGES

Walking didn't thin her out, it porked her up!!

I don't think that'll be me. My 6 week old son is already wearing his mediums. I've started looking at larges already...

Well, my first was 18-lbs and 9-mos old when we switched to cloth. I started her in 20-30 lb size larges, but ended up selling them because they were too big. She potty trained in mediums shortly after her 2nd birthday when she was about 23-lbs.

My second wore large firefly diapers for a bit when she was about 6-mos old but they were too big on her and I've since sold them all. Actually, small firefly diapers are just about my favorite dipes on her now at 15-mos old. She's looking like she's going to follow in her big sisters footsteps and not grow too much her second year so if she potty trains sometime before she's 3 or so I'm guess she won't need larges.

So neither of my girls has "needed" larges yet, but both wore some due to mama trying to buy diapers that would fit forever. :LOL

Maxi was SO chubby as a baby so around 7 or 8 months I got larges in certain things thinking that even if they were a bit big then he would grow into them. At that time large fit well enough, he could have been in medium but larges worked. Well after he hit a year old he grew tall and thinned out and now he is in medium of most things. Some stuff in medium is too short in the rise but most is not. We use a lot of one sized stuff so it doesnt really matter but for covers and wool soakers and things he is usually a medium.

I can see him not really ever needing larges.

DD is barely 20lbs at 17.5 months, so I don't think she'll ever *need* larges. But I do have a couple large LHC AIOs because they fit from 18-30lbs. But in most everything else she wears a medium.

This is my Aidan! He's 4 months and has been in larges for a couple of MONTHS now, yes since 2 months old! He had his 4 months checkup today and was 21 pounds and 12 ounces (and 27 inches tall!) Good thing is he only gained a pound and 2 inches in the last month, so he's starting to "slim".
