It was popular in the mid-late 80s -- I remember it was a big craze when I was a senior in high school, and one kid's mom got cases of it for his h.s. graduation party -- and came in those little teeny bottles and had all different flavors. I'm sure it was packed full of sugar and yucky additives, but man, was it tasty! We used to argue about which flavor was the best...my vote was always for peach.

Well, I have recaptured this flavor of my youth, inadvertently, in the course of my quest for yummy non-soda drinks. White cranberry-peach juice, combined with equal parts unflavored seltzer, makes something that tastes an awful lot like peach New York Seltzer.
Takes me right back!

You know, I was just thinking about that stuff last week! I never found it in the stores around us, but when we went out to dinner one restaurant in town had it. Every time we would make the waitress list all the flavors they had. I am sure she saw us coming and cringed! THen because they were so good, we could never decide and took up lots of her time, but hey we were kids ( I was in junior high I believe). I too liked Peach but I cant remember all the flavors.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane! Jen

Yes, I believe I remember.
My sister and I used to hang out and help our mom at a deli that she worked at. We got the yummiest sub sandwiches and on rare occasions were allowed to pick something from the cooler. We'd always want the New York Seltzers.

I loved New York Seltzer, and the brand called Zeltzer Seltzer, also!

I liked the peach and black cherry flavors, and one of the two companies made a chocolate-mint flavoured seltzer that was very strange, but very good.....
