The title says it all <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
I am not too comfortable with synthroid, which is why I haven't been on it for over a year <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/bag.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Bag">: but my symptoms are beginning to return, very slowly (I have been doing dietary thyroid support which I think helped keep the symptoms at bay). My hypothyroidism was pretty mild the last time I had it checked -- so I am wondering if something like <a href="http://www.nativeremedies.com/products/thyroid-assist-healthy-functioning.html" target="_blank">Thyroid Assist</a> has worked for anyone as their sole *med* -- I am not comfortable with Armour either because I am a strict vegetarian fwiw.<br><br>
TIA <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I haven't taken it, but what I've heard is good for your thyroid is coconut oil. Maybe try that and see how you feel. It's pretty inexpensive and worth a try.

I also have mild hypo and have taken <a href="http://www.nativeremedies.com/products/thyroid-assist-healthy-functioning.html?img=42&kbid=5207" target="_blank">ThyroidAssist</a> for several years. I love the stuff. It does contain bladderwrack - so wouldn't be a good option for someone w/ sensitivities to iodine - but I find it really effective. I also use their <a href="http://www.nativeremedies.com/products/thyroid-assist-healthy-functioning.html?img=42&kbid=5207" target="_blank">AdrenoBoost.<br></a> - it's a good combination - especially as I get into peri-meno. I want those adrenals strong!!!!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"><br><br>
I agree w/ pp about coconut oil also. I CRAVE the stuff! I eat about a tsp daily right off the spoon. YUM.
