This may be my first post here in Pets, so I'll introduce our adopted/rescued dogs: we have a 11+ year old short-legged beagle and a 8 year old dobe mix.

Our dobe has some allergies (environmental, seasonal and food) and thyroid issues. We finally have her "normal" -- throid meds and a special diet. She can't have any chicken or beef, so we currently feed her Eukaneuba Response F/P.

We found Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish Formula and wondered if we could use that rather than the Euk. It is $10 a bag cheaper, which would be a huge savings for us to feed a 100lb dog!!

Any thoughts or advice?
TIA!

I never have used it...but I would check the pet food recall list on the FDA site before starting any new food. If you google pet food recall you should come up with it.

The variety we are looking at has not been recalled. Thanks for the reminder.

Anyone else?
