Any success with it yet? I managed to hear baby's heartbeat at a day past 18 weeks, which is crazy lucky for using a fetoscope! I haven't been lucky since and despite closing in on 20 weeks I'm still unsuccessful with finding it again. D'oh. I try a little bit every night, though. :)

I got mine from a medical supply store near a local university when I was 22 weeks with my 2nd and I LOVE it! It cost me around $22, in case anyone's curious to buy their own, but I'm sure you could get one cheaper online.

There is a $15 one with a really long cord so the pregnant person can listen herself. I just ordered that one because I lost mine from last time.

I was able to hear my baby at 16 weeks but a midwife friend had to find it then put it to my ear first. I didn't have any luck finding it myself with Ava til about 26 weeks.

I used one during my last two pregnancies, but I loaned it to my sister for her last pregnancy and she of course LOST it. I am 19 weeks now so I guess I should just bite the bullet and buy another one.

I have a cheaper one as well. I tried using it for my last pregnancy and never found the heartbeat though I don't think I tried that much toward the end as I think I got sick of trying.

With this pregnancy I've tried a few times and still haven't been successful. I'm thinking I'll bring it to my first midwives appointment and see if they help me or not.

I bought one- no luck hearing anything yet, though our MW was able to find the heartbeat using her own fetoscope last week.

A previous pregnancy/previous midwife heard baby at 18 weeks I think with one.

Current midwife has heard this baby at 12 weeks, and 18 weeks with fetoscope (but baby moved to fast for me to hear as well). I have a quality stethoscope that I used last time to listen to baby.. but haven't been successful yet.. haven't tried in a while maybe now that I'm 20 weeks it will be easier to find.

My fetoscope is on the way from Cascade Health and I can't wait to try it. My primary midwife didn't find a HB with her fetoscope at 16 weeks, but my secondary midwife found it at 20 weeks. I was able to hear as well at the 20 week appointment, but the little swimmer took off before DH could hear. DH is a mechanic and really skilled at hearing subtle sounds, so I suspect he'll probably be better at finding the heartbeat than I will be! Lol.

I heard my baby around 18 weeks as well! :) Once and a while I still can't get it..and I'm almost 25 weeks..but most of the time I can find it quite easily now! I really love listening to it as long as I like without having to worry about the dangers from the doppler waves. I wish I would have known about these with my first!! Ours was $15 including shipping.

Mine arrived a couple weeks ago and I was able to find the HB on the first try at 21 weeks or so. Most times the little one is in the bottom left quadrant, but occassionally sneaks up around my belly button. I've been able to find the HB every time now though, which is very exciting.

My midwife hasn't been able to find it yet even at 22 weeks. It was her first time using one though. There are others in the practice that are experienced. I don't have one of my own maybe I should order one.

It took my experienced MW a bit to find our heartbeat. She was pretty excited when we asked to use it rather than the doppler. It had been awhile for her I guess. It is so exciting to hear the heartbeat that way.
