I seriously need help with some people on my Christmas list, I don't know them all well enough I guess, no idea on their taste in books/music, gift cards aren't really an option for several reasons... not the least of which: prices are set by the group (Secret Santa) but I would prefer to find items on sale etc. since the price limits seem expensive to me!!!

1 - female, 19-20 yrs old, has a 1yo son, works as a CNA & sells jewelry Amway-style on the side, lives with BF (baby's dad), dresses fashionable/comfy-casual, quiet but friendly, $50 gift

2 - male, early 40's, likes to drink (A LOT), intellectual/smart & funny, I think he's unemployed & lives alone with no car, not really 'into' anything besides drinking, $50 gift

3 - female, 12yo, stylish but in a kiddie way, likes nice clothes & nail polish, goes to a private Catholic school, really athletic, outgoing/lots of friends, loves animals, $25-30 gift

4- male, 40's, married with kids, likes sports & good beer, dedicated to his job (engineering/mathematical job with managerial duties), techie, $25-30 gift

Any ideas???

2. a bottle of sheridan's. you can usually get it in a gift set with fancy glasses. it's a two section liquor, it mixes together when you pour it out, coffee and cream.

4. a basket of fancy single serving beers. At $2 a bottle you could get a couple different ones and add some nice beer glasses to it, maybe a nice bottle opener.

I'd do a large batter-bowl, spatula, pancake mix & nice syrup (or muffin/scone mix). Coffee too if you know she drinks it. If giving before xmas - I'd do some of those xmas themed, maybe add in some holiday towels and picture frame or ornaments so it's like an xmas morning gift

If you can get microbrew hard cider - I'd do a pack of that (or 2-3 large bottles depending on how it's packed - good stuff is pricey but really tasty so it's worth it or a really nice treat) and some dried fruit (apples) and nuts (cashews or pistachios). Maybe some dark chocolate too.

'Fancy' box of jelly beans, 1-2 fun color nail polish, some kind of nice fruity hand lotion and/or lip balm. You could wrap it inside a cute hat and include simple gloves/mittens.

Built makes neat six-pack holders - I'd do one with single serving beers like the pp suggested, and a neat bottle opener.

For the drinkers: http://www.etsy.com/shop/bottlehood

For the girl: I don't know a single 12 year old (and I'm a middle school teacher, so I know a lot) that wouldn't happily put an iTunes credit to good use. Maybe some iTunes money along with some girly things like others have suggested--nail polish, lotion, lip balm, etc.

For the first one: I have no idea. But I liked the bowl/spatula/pancake idea.
