Maybe this sounds strange. My DH makes comments all the time about wanting another baby, our ds is only 14 months and we have NO MONEY! He is usually the one who wants to know who is paying for things or how things are getting paid, he looks down on people he knows who are having babies and cannot afford them.
If we had another baby right now I would have ot be on Medicaid b/c we have no insurance. Not only that but I am in school, work full time, and have a 14 month old!

anyone else have this trouble?

we were a bit further out than you, lazlo was 2-1/2 but i had no insurance etc when i got pregnant with linnaea, it was accidental (iud) but we both wanted a baby then and made several comments about it. it wasn't "responsible" but biology is a funny thing

Well i am glad to hear of someone else who was ok with that. I keep telling dh that one day I am gonna show up preggo and what will he say then?!

did you get insurance with Linnea? did you see a dr for you check ups?

yep. i qualified for the low-income pregnancy clinic, the only place i could get a midwife instead of a doctor

'cause, ya know, those poor women just don't need the same kind of interventions women with insurance need

anyway, yep, after i started working for the school i got insurance and transferred care but kept my midwife, she was awesome.

now, at this point, with two littles, i'm like, no WAY! am i getting knocked up again!!! i just really couldn't handle it since i'm finally starting to get my life going in the school/job/retirement fund direction.

be careful, i sometimes think i willed both of my kiddos into happening because even thought my situation wasn't the best, i did want to have them.
