Interested in meeting up with like minded folks! I have tried to form an ap group through meetup.com they now charge a fee so I am going to try it this way. I am interested in a monthly potluck/gathering possibly at Longs park on Sundays before the music starts (Sundays are free music over the summer!) to help connect folks who are interested in the ap,nfl lifestyle. I would also like to encourage the drum circle that used to be there every Sunday to be re-energized so if you have insturments bring them. Hopefully this will foster a community of folks that will provide support and encouragment to others... I was thinking our first potluck could be Sunday the 5th at around five. That is also the night the Sam Bush band is playing and did I mention it is FREE!!! Also for those intrested in becoming active in your local birthing community please check out link in my siggy. Hope to hear from you!!! In peace, Tara.

I'd be interested in a monthly potluck at Longs Park. I'm new to Mothering and am thrilled that I found it and these forums. I, too, am looking to meet up with like-minded people. As a matter of fact, I posted a thread entitled just that but didn't get any responses - maybe b/c I didn't put my town in the title. I'm still trying to figure out what all the initials stand for. Every once in a while I get an "ohhh" But I still need some help. I'm not sure if I will be able to make the 5th b/c of out-of -town guests arriving. But I do desperately want to get to know like-minded people in the area.

I want to come!! Hi Tara and Tracy (I replied to your pm-did you get it?). I would love to come. I was thinking about going to the Nursing Mothers Coalition to see if I could distribute any of my sling info on June 5th. Did you hear about it? There is a post on here about it. It is in Harrisburg on Sunday from 1-5 (I think). Tara-would that be a good place for BWB?

Anyways...I think the 12th would work great for me. Let me know!!

Longs park is right beside Park City Mall. Did you happen to see that? It's off of Harrisburg Pike. Will you be able to make it? How far a drive is that?

I'll be there on the 12th. I'm not real familiar with the park in terms of where to meet. Let me know and I'll find it. PA Flower - yes I got your response. Thanks. Hope to see you at the Park!

hi all! kate, lancaster native here, joining your forum b/c when we are in town we would love to come and play if you really get a regular thing going. i am from lancaster, born and bred, but live in CT right now and we are moving to KY. we come to my home to visit the grandparents often and i would LOVE to meet up with ap fams for social activities. my oldest has so much fun at the big sertoma play area at long's. and all of my friends from high school either moved, or are not at all AP and it's uncomfortable.

I don't think anyone went that day anyways...
Who wants to meet at the park during the week? Sometimes it's hard to get out of the house on Sunday afternoons (although I do love Long's Park!)

going to the buchanan park wading pool for some wet fun today! anyone who is game - come out and join us - we'll get there just a little past noon.

oh - i won't be back on here before then - so if you want to come:
open to public and free, wading pool so any age kids can go, but it gets crowded so they have a rule of no toys, just swimmers.

from race ave, look toward the playground and pavillion and the pool is over the grassy hill you see to the RIGHT of the pavillion (as you see it from the street).

hope somebody shows! i think we will go tomorrow at the same time, too.

morris is 3 next month (blondey that is tanning too easily - grr), virgil is 5 mos and will have a blue denim floppy hat and i have long dark brown hair in a ponytail and i wear glasses.
