I am new to boards and am relactating (well rebuilding my supply) for my almost 6 month old baby boy. He was breastfed with suppliments till 3 1/2 months old. Due to complications my(thought I had yeast and suffered but it was exema, and he was losing weight) supply dwindled and he started to refuse the breast. I decided to try to get him back on. I rented a pump. got a sns and order domperidone . My supply is now looking good. I am pumping about 8 oz a day compared to maybe an ounce 3 weeks ago.I have tried everything to get him back to breast but he want's nothing to do with it. I tried the sns but he won't have it. I read on here (at least I think it was here) about someone putting apple juice in the sns to get baby to latch and so I tried it. He took it for like 1.5 minutes. This is the first time in months he's latched. Do you think it's ok to put the juice in or do you think he will get hooked on the juice and I won't get him off it(that is if he takes it again) Any advice would be appreciated. Any help with getting him latched would be appreciated too. Thanks
