So, yes, I'm absolutely still around (thanks for checking in Sandi!). I've been more busy the last couple of days, so not quite as chatty/post-obsessed
I still feel like this baby will be cooking for a little while, but just recently I've reached a new level of discomfort that makes me think things must be changing and preparing. It's gotten to be *such* a production to roll over in bed and then getting out is another story! Almost is enough to make me want to sleep on the couch (though getting up from there is no picnic either!). Once I'm up and around I'm totally fine, but man those transitions
:

I received the BEST gift yesterday - my mom, sister, 2 girlfriends and one of their moms came over and cleaned my house top to bottom. We're talking some serious scrubbing/vacuuming/dusting here - kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and most of all the bathrooms!! I may never be able to repay the one girlfriend who scrubbed my upstairs bathroom as that was a serious labor of love
It's rather vulnerable to let people in to see your messes, but these ladies love us and really wanted to help out. It was so great b/c I just haven't had the energy for anything more than surface cleaning and now my house really feels *clean* - YEA!! They did some spot cleaning of the carpet and my mom will bring her rug shampooer back in the next couple of weeks. I was totally overwhelmed with appreciation - wow

I'm still here and now 6 days overdue. I had an accupressure massage yesterday (specifically on the pressure points in my feet that are supposed to help you start labor), went for a walk, ate spicy Thai curry for dinner, and had sex all in the last 24hrs. And I'm still pregnant.
As my friend just told me, I'm very through in baking my kids apparently
I just can't believe all the stuff I did yesterday didn't do anything! Well actually the accupressure massage and walking did give me some nice BH but they went away. I have a MW appt this afternoon, I'll update more after that.

Responding to a post in the other thread - Surfmama, I'm so happy to hear your DH's recovery is going so well!

My DH had the nerve to come down with a cold!
: He's been sick since Friday and has gotten worse the last two days, so this morning he went to the doctor, who said it's a virus, nothing you can do but ride it out. He's not very good at taking it easy when he's sick, but at least he did stay home form work today (after telling me I was being unreasonable for suggesting it
). What bad timing!

I need to get together the stuff my midwives want me to have on hand (well, put it all together in one spot vs. the 15 different places they currently are).

And I think the baby may have dropped. Which, unfortunately, means nothing to me (besides being even more uncomfortable) at this point because I think ds dropped 2.5-3 weeks before he popped out.

In really great news, it sounds like my MIL's moving to a town a few hours away from us! Yay! I'll get dh to myself again for a while.

My MW came, looked at me, and announced that I didn't look "birthy."
Which I totally agree with. So I think I'm going to pull another 42-weeker.
That's fine- I'm feeling good, baby's doing well, I have some stuff to keep me busy this week, and dd gets to be an only child a bit longer.

And she's NOT posterior, she's in a good position, and now I think she's too big to move into a bad position so I'm really happy!

Still pregnant! Had my midwife appt. today and am 3cm dilated 95% effaced and +1 station. Baby dropped even farther yesterday. Pooping is a new interesting experience. This might be TMI, but it's like it has to go around babies head before it can get out. Wierd. Anyway, she said she'll probably will see me before my next appt. next Monday. I'm hoping by tomorrow I will go into labor so my dh is here since it is his day off. We'll see, I'm really uncomfy since my midwife checked me. Just really crampy. Oh, and baby is in perfect position now. Back is to the front of my belly. I could tell it moved, but wasn't sure to where. I thought maybe more to a posterier postion again, but am pleasantly surprised with this new position.

I'm going to go take a bath. Hopefully the washer repair man doesn't come til I get out. I hate how they give you a 4 hour window of when they'll be here.

Take care all. Hope to hear of more babies coming.

I'm still here... I have until the 8th of May (when I'll be 42w 1d), so I'm definitely in my last month now!

Back from my 41w MW appt. My MW freaked out when my DH called and tried to reschedule my appt for tommorrow because I had a headache & nausea. She was really concerned that I was suddenly showing signs of pre-e, even though he tried to explain to her that I was just getting a migraine from the massive amounts of pollen in the air. When I got there and explained it to her and she could actually hear how stuffy I was, she calmed down completely. Anyway, I had her strip my membranes & she did cervical massage (OWW!) with a combo of EPO, clary sage & castor oil to see if that would help my body kick into labor. When she started my cervix was somewhat anterior and only 2cm, by the time she was done it was no longer anterior and at least 3cm
We are hopeful this may get me to have this baby tonight!

Well, just had my MW appointment, and baby has dropped a bit, so that is good.
Everything else looked great.

Jessica - what a fabulous present!!! I would so love it if some women would come scrub my house.
Otherwise I'm going to have to do it again this week, and it just takes so much energy right now!

I had an appointment today too! I'm due on Wednesday, and my MW scheduled me for a u/s at 41 weeks just to check fluid levels, etc. Hopefully I'll have a baby by then, but she just wants to be sure. DH was pretty skeptical of making the u/s appt, because he wants me to have the baby by then, so the MW asked him, "Well, are you having sex???" Tee-hee.

I felt so bad for DD today--for the first time since last fall, it was over 75 degrees here today! We slathered up with sunscreen and went outside, yay! But she didn't want to play in front of our apartment with her slide, car, ball, and bat...she wanted to walk all around and climb on things that were far away from me. I knew I couldn't get anywhere very quickly, so finally we had to go inside because I just couldn't do it anymore--I didn't have the energy to keep chasing her down. Luckily DH took her out when he was home for his dinner break, and we met a mama from our complex with a 2.5 year old--the first mama we've met here in seven months!

Other than that, I'm feeling fabulous, except that I have absolutely no motivation to pick up and/or clean my house. I really hope that doesn't mean I'm not going to go into labor soon. Maybe I should clean up just to try to motivate my body, LOL!

Hi everybody, I'm still here too, EDD on Friday. I am just feeling so low energy and crampy and achy, I hope it means something is happening. I too am so low energy it's impossible to chase our 2.5 yo DS, it's sad. I went to work today for a few hours and came home not feeling too well, trying to take it easy. DH got inspired and spent the entire afternoon and early evening raking up all the leaves from the yard (an enormous task, we live on the edge of a big woods) and I just couldn't keep up with DS. I eventually had to come in with him to play trains, which allowed me to just crash, and it was such a beautiful day! Well hopefully this will not last much longer!!!!

*TMI warning LOL!*

I'm a week overdue today and I'm thinking stripping my membranes yesterday may have actually worked. My mom, DH and friends all keep telling me this really sounds like early labor, but of course I'm still skeptical. I had spotting after the exam yesterday that turned brown and went away by dinnertime, then I started having really strong cramps occasionally. I started having pink/red spotting after the cramps started and it continued all night long, as well as a bunch of ctx that are uncomfortable but still easy to walk & talk through. I've gone to the bathroom a bunch too, which I'm hoping means my body is cleaning out for the big event. I can feel the ctx start at the top of my belly and they wrap around to my back, so I'm hoping these are the real thing! DH and I left DD with my mom last night for a bit and went walking for about 45min at 10pm (yes in the dark
) but the ctx stayed about the same (we aren't timing them until they are very intense) so we went to bed. I tossed & turned all night long from my low back/abdomen feeling like constant menstrual cramping and also from the ctx. I managed to get enough sleep to function I hope. I did wake up to lots of dark reddish brownish mucus mixed in with more red stuff too which I'm hoping is "bloody show". Definitely not just "spotting" if you kwim!
I literally feel like I have my period right now, which is an odd sensation at 9 months pregnant

I really hope this is it! I was starting to think I might be pregnant forever!
Sorry for all the TMI info, hope I didn't ruin anyone's breakfast

Dinner time here
great to hear things are moving Becca, it sounds like little Alex could be here really soon
:

Tired and crampy in my lower uterus and lower back. We had friends over to play this afternoon so now I have the house to tidy again! This is the one thing I'm finding hard about homebirthing is that everything has to be perfect each night just in case!

OMG! I am doing the exact same thing LOL! Last night after dinner I insisted on vaccuuming and mopping all the floors and finishing the laundry *just in case*. I'm so sick of cleaning it all over and over again to be spotless and ready to go. I definitely think because we are homebirthing I am going a bit crazy with the nesting. I don't think I could sleep at night if everything wasn't spotless

This is exactly what happens to me, as well as not sleeping I think it will stop me going into labour if everything isn't perfect!
Its driving DH nuts

That is one reason I am excited that this time I am going to my MW's house for our "homebirth." I'm not driving myself quite as nuts with the housecleaning, though I still want things neat generally.
