I'm not calling it labour if I can still play on the internet... but the plastic is on the bed and the supplies are all sitting out and ready. (And there's no freaking way I'm going to stand in a line up to register for preschool this morning).

Hmmmm...

Well, grats to all those with progress.

I'm back to "normal" and pretty much just a little more uncomfortable than I was a week ago. I don't think Peanut is that far down, as when I push on its butt I don't feel too much way in there on the other end. It sure is wiggly, though. :-/

I was hoping for some action somtime next week, and I suppose anything can happen, but I'm starting to feel like it won't be as early as I was wishing for.

I'm going to start painting my master bedroom today and maybe begin packing my hospital bag or something. I thought that procrastinating would also make something happen unexpectedly (Murphy's law or something).

And, I had to take off my rings yesterday. I was in denial about it, but my poor finger has an hourglass shape where they were. Now I have them hanging off a bracelet. I haven't taken them off in almost five years.

Woo Mel!! I had really strong vibes about you last night!
: I'm excited to hear how things progress.

Not much here - I feel really fuzzy-headed this morning despite fairly decent sleep. And I'm having really intense menstrual-like cramps, but no contractions. I have an appt with my MW, and then get to just relax for the rest of the day.

Hey guys really need your ops this am: Note will be calling my MWs this am too.
Ok so here it is- I've been using EPO for about 3 wks now (really helping to soften and get me ready- according to MWs), use it nightly (1 oral- 1 vag=2000mg) except when dh and I have dtd or I have an appt the next day.

Sun night dh and I dtd so I didn't use it also forgot the night before (oh I should say that since using it I've been very moist/oiled down there- no dryness at all) so two nights w/o it. Yesturday all day I was very dry and itchy (like you feel when you have a yeast infection) (also should add I was on antibiotic for a few days last week- for a tooth prob) and don't know if its from not using the EPO and my body is used to it OR a yeast infection.

Used the EPO last night and its better this am but still a little itchy. I don't know if I should treat myself w/an OTC or just stick w/the EPO. Mind you I don't want this lo to been born and immeditely get thrush or something worse if it is a yeast infect. But I really only have time before he's born to do a 1 dose treatment (needs to be fast-YK) since I'll be induced on Fri am. Even a 3 day is too long since the last treatment would be done Thur night before I go to bed and don't want to put anything up there that night to just have it comeout on his head the next morn! Even skipping the vag EPO (don't want a gel cap attched to his head!
).

What do you think? one day yeast treatment or try the EPO another night and wait and see what tommarrow's like and then do 1 day or just skip it? Anyone know what else could go wrong if I do have an infect. and he's born/ what could happen besides say thrush? How about say to his eyes? Help usaully I only have a yeast infection early in pg due to hormones- but not even sure if this is one now. I do get itching when I've done antibiotics while pg not always yeast! Ok rambling.OPS please!

oooh, Mel! You've got me excited! I hope things progress for you!

It's 4:40am and I've been up most of the night. Ds2 is sick. That's so not what I need right now. He's been coughing like mad and since he would only sleep if I lied next to him he's been coughing in my face all night. I'm bound to start coughing soon. Imagine having a coughing fit while having contractions?! yikes. I'm a bit worried. I'm also stressing majorly about my IL's visit and how it interferes with my 'plans' to spend quality time with my boys now that I'm done my paper. I thought all my worries would be over once i finished that paper. blech. I'm just tired and annoyed.

Question for you... I have a m/w appt. this morning. Dh thinks it's fine if I bring ds2, but I don't think that's cool to bring a sick child to a place for pg women. What do you think?

Ok, I'm going to try to get some sleep now.

Happy Tuesday!! I can't wait to hear who is going to have they're baby today!!!

IncaMama, I hope it picks up for you!!

MelW, How exciting! I hope things go quickly and smoothly..

Fairymom, I would probably skip the EPO and maybe get your provider to take a look and see if its really yeast, then decide what to do, treat it or not. Either way, I don't think it would bother your baby, most people have some yeast at all time in their vaginas and babies are born, bathed & don't have issues.

I am on 9 days left! Still kind of in denial of how busy life will be, but still hoping for at least a 2 week babymoon. I had a month with my older kids, now 2 weeks is about it, even with a section, so I have to rest intensely in the beginning.

Good luck to all of you today!

Yay Mel! If you have that baby today I'm going to be VERY IMPRESSED as this is the day you predicted! Can you predict that I have mine on Thursday?
Congrats and best wishes if this is it!

Fairymom - I'm not sure what I would do if I were you. Are you itching and having the discharge that normally accompanies a yeast infection? I think I'd listen to yourself and if you really think you have one than I'd treat it. Is yeast infection medication safe? I'd imagine you know this already.

Is anyone else's LO REALLY active lately? Trust me, I love love love that he is so active, but he has been moving so much and I'm talking about the kind of moving where my whole belly keeps changing shape as he pokes his butt out or a foot here and there. Just curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this at this point. I'm so happy he lets me know he's ok by constantly moving though - when does he sleep?? He moved like this from when I got home from work at 5 until I went to bed at 10! Now that Im back at work he started again!

It's only my second day in this due date club, and I'm afraid I may already get a drama-queen label.
:

We had freezing rain all day here yesterday and it was a bit of a freak storm, because the weather has been increasingly spring-like lately. I went to pick my daughter up from daycare and on the walk in I slipped on a patch of slippery grass, stumbled a bit, and fell off the curb smacking my stomach HARD. Ow!

I semi-composed myself and went into the daycare to get DD, but I had tears in my eyes so the staff knew something was up. I told them what happened but made it seem like I was fine, just majorly scraped up. One of the staff helped me put DD in the car and as soon as she left, I started crying and semi-hyperventilating. I called my husband at work to come home and called the LDU at my hospital and they told me to come in (I`m 41 weeks along today).

My MIL came over to take care of DD and got pulled over by the police on the way for running a stop sign. Ooops. She explained the situation to him and he followed her to our place to make sure everything was okay. He wanted to call an ambulance for me but I declined. I wasn`t having any pain or bleeding...aside from the road rash, I mean.

So hubby and I made our way to the hospital and they hooked me up to the heartrate monitor. Baby was fine...more than fine actually. The nurse couldn`t believe how much he was moving - it looked like he was trying to kick the monitors off! We had to stay to be monitored for about 4 hours, and all seems to be fine. They advised me to come back right away if I start bleeding, cramping, leaking fluid, etc.

I cried off and on for most of the night, mostly out of fear and also because I really hate attention. I felt like I wound everyone up into a panic for nothing. My husband reassured me that it only made sense to be cautious.

I`m still a bit nervous and don`t plan on leaving the house today. It`s still really icy outside, so I think I`ll play it safe and stay in my hut.

My doctor didn`t make it sound like waiting was an option, but she`s very businesslike (that`s the best word i can think of to describe her) and it seems like many topics aren`t up for discussion.
After what happened yesterday, I`m more nervous too, so I`m wondering if for my own peace of mind if I should just go ahead with the induction. I`m a bit torn, to be honest.

And yep, I`m absolutely Vitamin C loading. I`m very blessed to have a Naturopathic Doctor for a best friend and she gives me the best advice. I`m hoping to have this cold beat soon. I blame my little petri dish who goes to daycare every day. I`ve had a lot of colds this pregnancy.

Mel, I hope everything works out and that you have a great birth.

IncaMama, I also wish you the best of luck, and may the contractions keep coming.

Lilgreen, I would not take a sick child to the m/w appointment unless there is no other way. The place I go actually has a sign asking to sick non-patients to stay home.

Michanders, my lo is also very active and he keeps poking is butt or arms or feet out all the time, making my belly shift shape and have a life of its own. Usually this happens in the evening, but he perks up for several hours during the day, too. Usually when I get up, when I'm in my office, and sometimes even when I teach. He's also started dancing when I play music.

hibiscus, sorry to hear about your accident. That sounds horrible and it would have freaked me out, too. Glad to hear that everything is ok, though.

I fell asleep again this morning after DH got up even though he only gets up because I have to get to work. But it seems that the slot from 7-8 become my quality sleep moment these days. Now, I'm about to go in and get ready for my once-a-week class. I feel a little crampy right now, and I've been having more frequent BH-ctx again since last night, but still no real contractions. I can't wait for 5 pm when I'm done for the day.

Nancy, I know I have already mentioned this, but in the hopes of sparing you the impatient feeling that I've had for weeks now I'd really try to plan like he/she will be coming on her due date or later and if you have him/her earlier, it will be a nice surprise! I really had myself convinced he'd come early and here I am 3 days from my due date and no progress to speak of!

It is hard not wearing our rings, isn't it? I've only been married for 15 months and took them off months ago already, but I miss them!

Nothing going on here, had the relaxed pelivis last night but that's it. As for those who commented on us DTD alot, well it has stopped for a bit. I need to air out my girly parts so I don't get another yeast infeciton...I think DH was glad for the break!!! I'm just so ready for this baby and this is what I can do to help-it isn't always fun either...

We are headed to music, then to the mall to walk and then nothing else. Doula is gone today so going into labor after 10pm would be just fine from now on....

I second all three above comments! As for the yeast, I have a history of it and just had an infection a week ago...MW said the above same thing, doesn't bother baby and many women have yeast knowing or not knowing during delivery. I treat mine with 1/2 tea tree oil suppository for 3 nights and use it after DTD. Also cutting sugar, taking probiotics and doing baking soda sitz baths...good luck, it is so uncomfortable...but i'd definatly check to see if that's even it before you go through all the trouble though!!

If you call yourself a drama queen then I guess we all fall into that category...you should see what I've posted about over this pregnancy!!! Glad everything was okay!!!...I fell in December and had to go through all that (and a U/S) not fun, I was quite upset too as I hate all the monitering and especially for that long when I knew LO was just fine and didn't go anywhere for a week unless DH was walking right next to me.

Okay, I'm finally going to join one of these threads.

Hibiscus mum, so sorry you had such a stressful day! I'm sure your baby is fine--the fall probably hurt and scared you much worse than it did him--but going in to get checked out was completely the right thing to do.

I'm kind of in the opposite situation from most of you. I'm really hoping NOT to go into labor, because I have a c-section scheduled for Friday morning. I've finally just about made peace with not getting the natural birth I wanted (baby is footling breech and has the cord wrapped around her neck twice, so a vaginal birth really would be a much higher risk for her). So now I'm just hoping lo stays put until Friday, because my husband works about a hour away and the hospital is half an hour in the other direction. If I go into labor, I have to go to the hospital right away, and I don't want to get rushed into surgery without him being there. Also, my mom is coming in on Thursday night, and I want her to be there so I don't end up being by myself in recovery when DH goes with the baby to the nursery for an hour or two. I think I would be so sad, to not have the baby with me AND not have anyone else (other than a nurse) to keep me company.

An unfortunate side effect of trying not to go into labor is that unlike some of you, there is no DTD happening at our house. DH is refusing to put out because he's afraid it will get labor started. He's probably right, but I just keep thinking, this is our last chance for so long!

hibiscus - I would have reacted the same way! I know our bodies are made to handle things like that and that the baby has the best protection possible... it still would have made me nervous though. I'm so glad baby's doing alright... hope you feel better!

I got a little bit of sleep last night but I think I'll try for some more. My midwife is coming over this afternoon to nudge things along... I'm not sure exactly what she has in mind.. a membrane sweep maybe? Anyway, I hope it works! April 7th sounds like a good birthday.

Mel- I hope it's your day!

lilgreen-Yeah, I wouldn't bring him to your appointment either.

Fairymom- I'll agree with the others, get MW to see if it is yeasties or not.

I've actually been sleeping ok the last few nights.
: Of course still waking up 6 times to pee, but going back to sleep in between, Gabrielle has been sleeping with DH on their mattress with me right next to them on another one and it's been working out well.

I did realize this morning that I need to check in my MW at some point. I'm not doing appointments and it's been a while since I've emailed/called her....

I've brought sick kids to the mw, depends how sick the kid is. The bc only rarely has someone in the waiting room though. If it were a big practise with lots of waiting I don't think I would.

My twins are sick again! I almost brought one to the er yesterday but thankfully dh was able to get ahold of the dr to bring him in there. Thankfully the cold isn't in his lungs. Dr took a listen to the other twin since he was there and dr said it sounded like he might be getting it as well. Sure enough cough cough cough this am
My cough seems like it's getting better though

Nancy sounds like you're starting to prep for labor

I'm so envious of all the babies being born and mamas going into labor. I hit my dd this week and I'm already in that "I'm going to be pg forever" funk

My tummy isn't doing so well either. I've been throwing up a bit at night and having nausea. I'm feeling like in dehydrated and in that bad cycle again. I almost want to call the bc about getting some iv fluids but I'm afraid they're going to start talking induction and I'd need my dh to come and he could only leave work today if he really needed to (emergency or baby coming).

OK, another question for you ladies. Why does it feel like I broke my pelvis recently? I've had pelvic pain on and off throughout the pregnancy, but it recently came back like woah! My pelvis is so sore right now - anyone know of why this is coming out worse now at the end? Could it be from things really stretching out down there?
