I haven't seen any threads either....

But I have an April 2003 baby (I was assuming you meant 2003, and not pregnant with an '04 babe).

She is getting so big now, and even got her second tooth today. Hard for me to believe! I was sure she would be one of those toothless one-year olds. But her teeth are coming in and she has some peach fuzz on her head.
Every day it is less and less of the old, bald man look!

I am also starting to think about feeding her solids, but will probably wait for another month or two. Although she is a voracious nurser, she still seems to be gaining weight and doing well....

Any other April babes out there?

Hi! Jackson was born 3/30, so he's almost an April baby! His due date was 4/2, so I still kind of think of him as an April baby. In addition, he's a bit slow on the milestones, so I'd like to lurk here if that's OK! If not, you can tell us to get lost, I'll understand
.

No teeth for us yet, just floating away in all the drool! He's rolling tummy to back but not back to tummy yet, and getting better at sitting unassisted. No interest in solids yet, so we'll wait until he notices us eating a bit more before we start.

Basically he's just so much fun to hang out with!

I have a DD! She is our first & probably only child. I wish DH & I had gotten our lives together sooner so that we could have had more children, but we're happy anyway - it's just WONDERFUL!

I had always wanted kids & thought that it would be great, but my heart is so overfilled with love these days, I can hardly believe it's real sometimes!

She's such a miracle! She's rolling all over the place already. She can get her knees under her OR her arms under & lift herself up, but she can't get all 4 underneath at once yet. No teeth yet - but another Mom I know who's baby was born the same day as mine - her daughter got TWO this past weekend!

I have half-heartedly started her on a few solids. I'm making our own babyfood (which is just way too easy), she's had rice cereal, sweet potato, avacado, bananas & nectarines so far.

It's so amazing to watch her develop!

Will was born April 10, exactly on the due date that *I* calculated (according to the OB, he was a week late
: ).

No teeth for us, either, just gallons of drool. Will rolls like a maniac! Front to back, back to front, over and over.... He's almost sitting up on his own - he'd rather be on his tummy so that he can roll, so he's not really motivated to sit up.

He's starting to work on pulling his knees up underneath his hips, but it's been pretty much accidental thus far. He has occasionally scooted himself forward this way, though. He doesn't have any interest in combining his legs w/his arms - when he scoots himself forward, he's got his fingers in his mouth and is grinding his face into the floor
: silly boy.

Will likes to "stand up" - he'll stand on my lap and I put my hands on his hips just to steady him. He likes to stamp his feet while doing this, so DH has to watch where he places his feet :LOL

He's also been "talking" like crazy....he ranges from cooing and "soft" sounds to grunts and ear-piercing shrieks. He'll talk all day long, unless I'm on the phone w/my mom and want her to hear (of course). Already has a mind of his own.

We're not in a hurry to start solids. Will's been watching our utensils move from our plates to our mouths, but he also watches the dog chew her rawhide and he's not getting that (although she has been trying to share with him lately)! I've noticed in the last month how much more interested in the world Will has become, so I think he's trying to figure out what we're doing when we eat, rather than him wanting to start solids.

Will's still big (he was 12pounds at birth), but he's started to slim down (relatively, he probably weighs 24 lbs now) and get taller. I measured him last night, and he was 29 inches long - I think, he was pretty squirmy. Sometimes I'm surprised at how "old" he looks. Really, at times he looks like a toddler - his little face gets so serious and he looks so grown-up.

I'm glad this thread was started. It'll be nice to be able to get an idea of what other April babies are doing, and share this fun age.

Hi april mamma's! I am glad to have found you! Well, Dajel was born April 19th at home, 19 days past our due date. She is getting so big I hardly consider her an infant and I already miss "those baby days" (lol) I know she's still a baby, but not for long. I am amazed everyday at how much love one can possibly have for someone that they've only known for 5 months! Someone who drools all over, pulls on hair, spits up on clothes, needs constant attention etc...! lol
Really though, arent they great at this age? Dajel doesnt have any teeth, although she has been teething for 3 months already!!! I feel so bad for her, I wish they would hurry up! Well, maybe not cuz I am not too sure how Im gonna deal with her bitting my while she nurses, it hurts bad enough when she does it now and she doesnt even have any teeth! She seems pretty miserable the last two days though so maybe one will be poking through soon. She is in 9-12 month clothes because she is so long (her daddy is 6'8"). She can hardly sit still long enough to nurse and she wont nurse if Im eating because she is to interested in my food, whenever she gets a chance she grabs for my fork or spoon. I gave her carrots and she loved them, but I dont think Ill make a regular thing of that yet. ??? I dont think she will want to nurse for too long, but we'll see. She is scooting around like a maniac (almost always backwards) and giving me small insights on what the near future holds, she is going to be kamakazee kid (and I know I didnt spell that right but, ykwim right.)
Anyway, Im just trying to enjoy what "cuddle time" I can still get out of her before she starts crawling!

I also have an April 25th baby. He is an absolute delight!! I love him more with each passing day - if that is even possible
:

Eamon has been rolling from his tummy since about 9 weeks and his back at 3 months. He just put the two rolls together this past week and won't stay in one spot. He just rolls to what he wants. He started scooting also, but it is mostly backwards. He doesn't sit really well yet. He mostly tripods it - it is very cute. Sometimes he becomes a human taco!

Still no teeth, but tons of drool. Everything goes into the mouth to chew on.

Hello Everyone...
Glad to hear from even more april Mommas....be sure and check out the other thread to read about all of us that have posted there.

Kinsey43, My JB has the same birthday as your Will, and he too was born on the due date I caculated(ob said 4/14)! From all the info in your post it sounds like they're at exactly the same stage developmentally too. Thats so cool! Like little twins.
although my DS is a tad smaller than yours at "only" 20 lbs. LOL.

Why is it so hard for OBs to trust that we might possibly know something about our bodies? I was glad that Will waited, so he could prove his mommy right.

Yeah, like little twins - except maybe I wouldn't say "little"
Try to get JB up to his fighting weight, would you? j/k

I'll head over to the other thread, but I don't know that I'll have time to read the whole thing (what is it, like 14 pages?!?!) . I may just have to jump in on it at the end and catch up when I can.

Will's not giving me a whole lot of down-time lately, so my MDCing has to be on the fly. I have to choose between MDC and scrubbing the bathtub - guess which option I go with?
