Will was born April 10, exactly on the due date that *I* calculated (according to the OB, he was a week late
: ).
No teeth for us, either, just gallons of drool. Will rolls like a maniac! Front to back, back to front, over and over.... He's almost sitting up on his own - he'd rather be on his tummy so that he can roll, so he's not really motivated to sit up.
He's starting to work on pulling his knees up underneath his hips, but it's been pretty much accidental thus far. He has occasionally scooted himself forward this way, though. He doesn't have any interest in combining his legs w/his arms - when he scoots himself forward, he's got his fingers in his mouth and is grinding his face into the floor
: silly boy.
Will likes to "stand up" - he'll stand on my lap and I put my hands on his hips just to steady him. He likes to stamp his feet while doing this, so DH has to watch where he places his feet :LOL
He's also been "talking" like crazy....he ranges from cooing and "soft" sounds to grunts and ear-piercing shrieks. He'll talk all day long, unless I'm on the phone w/my mom and want her to hear (of course). Already has a mind of his own.
We're not in a hurry to start solids. Will's been watching our utensils move from our plates to our mouths, but he also watches the dog chew her rawhide and he's not getting that (although she has been trying to share with him lately)! I've noticed in the last month how much more interested in the world Will has become, so I think he's trying to figure out what we're doing when we eat, rather than him wanting to start solids.
Will's still big (he was 12pounds at birth), but he's started to slim down (relatively, he probably weighs 24 lbs now) and get taller. I measured him last night, and he was 29 inches long - I think, he was pretty squirmy. Sometimes I'm surprised at how "old" he looks. Really, at times he looks like a toddler - his little face gets so serious and he looks so grown-up.
I'm glad this thread was started. It'll be nice to be able to get an idea of what other April babies are doing, and share this fun age.
