It does work wonders. I know some natural things arent good for the unborn baby. So if anyone knows please let me know. well, this weekend was the big austin city limits music festival here and all i can say after 3 days of walking around in a crowded, hot mob of people is being pregnant sort of takes the edge off going to big festivals. I had to stop and hit the food court like every 20 minuits, and couldn't even buy a beer!

We had a small park festival here and it exhausted me. I use to manage and DJ with bands that played the Austin festival. Never been myself, but I've heard how crazy it is. I can imagine you were worn out. There wasn't even any decent food at the park so I was miserable the whole time, but dd got to ride a pony for the first time and she's obsessed with horses so it was fun to watch. I'll be 12 weeks in a week and a half. I'm excited about that.

Anyone else already feeling a lot of movement. I'm shocked at how much I feel. I never felt anything this early with dd.

I'm hoping we are going to wean soon. Nursing is just now starting to get uncomfortable. DD didn't ask for it before bed last night and she didn't ask for it this morning until we'd been up for a while and I just talked her into reading a book instead. Please let the nursing be done!!!!!!!!!!!

Take care everyone!

the fair is in town here too and I was totally craving a deepfryed frozen snicker bar (breaded like a donut on the outside ) I had one last year oh my gosh-so good!! It rained on sun. so we didnt go but next weekend... fairfood here I come!! This is so funny because I usually never like sweets- I like salty foods. If anyone is looking for an amazing moisturizer I just bought perfect world body creme from Origins and it is luscious!

inbetween ben kweller and ween i forced my husband to wait in line for funnel cake for like an hour. And i never eat that stuff. but i got to the point where i absolutly decided it was funnel cake or going home. DD and i hung out with Clifford the big red dog at the austin kiddie limits tent while dh graciously did the dirty work.

Hey coco, update me to 4-14 instead of 4-16!!

I can't do the fair food, but definitely in the "fall" mood for pumpkin, squash, apple pie (which I made last week), and homemade bread. I usually make all our bread but haven't since preg., but I made some finally today so everyone is happy. It will probably be gone by tonight and I'll have to make more tomorrow!!

I LOVE fall, my birthday is a week before Halloween and that is just like the kick off for the "holiday season" which lasts until new years!!! Hope that MS passes soon, so I can enjoy all the YUMMY food. I remember having to spend most of my thanksgiving outside at my grandmas when I was preg with DS, because I couldn't STAND the smell of the turkey

I was in bed most of yesterday, so I've got MAJOR work to do today. Mostly cooking, dishes, and laundry AGAIN!! Does it ever end!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I am 11 weeks now too! I have my first "real" Dr. appt. tomarrow and I am so excited, yet nervous. With the spotting I had last week I am just hoping that I get to hear the hb and/or have an u/s. My pg seems to be going by quickly so far.

I have started popping out a little, and thank goodness some friends have borrowed me some mat. clothes! I am having a harder time sleeping on my stomach the last couple of nights, but I just don't want to give it up yet! It's the only way I can get really comfy w/ my ds taking up over half of our queen-sized bed! I just don't know where the new baby is gonna sleep when s/he comes... dh, ds, and I are already crowded. But my ds just isn't ready to give up co-sleeping completely yet.

I have been feeling kinda icky off and on the past couple of weeks too, so I'm just waiting for next week to pass and hopefully the m/s will be gone! I think I felt the baby last night, although it's too soon for me to tell for sure. Hope everyone is well!

Hi everyone - I am due in late April so I guess I fit in with your group.

I have a quick, maybe silly question - I'm probably just paranoid. :
I have been having pretty bad ms for about three weeks, all day every day. Today I woke up, and I feel much better! My question is, is it too early to be feeling better? I am just now ending my ninth week. Is this a sign of miscarriage or other problems?

Please tell me it's just paranoia. My dh told me I should be glad I'm feeling better and don't complain! But after three weeks of misery, this just feels weird...

Thanks so much, mcsarahb

I had 3 1/2 weeks of straight m/s too and started feeling better around 9 weeks. It still comes and goes, but it's nothing like what I was experiencing. I wanted to throw a party when the bad stuff passed!

Welcome by the way!

Hey everyone. Two days in a row of no puking here! I just made it to 12 weeks this weekend. Coincidence? My m/s set in right at 6 weeks and seems to have subsided right at 12. Please, let the rest of this be a textbook pregnancy too! Today, the starving feeling seems to be kicking in!! This is the feeling that is very familiar to me from my last pregnancy.

We finally told my parents this past weekend and they sure were surprised. Since my mom is my childcare provider for ds (3 years old) she knows she'll be watching this new one, too, when he/she comes along. So she's happy for us, but her job just got a lot harder!

Welcome, mcsarahb!

coco, my due date will probably be more like April 5th or 6th, but I will tell ya for sure after I see the dr. this week. Thanks for keeping our list current!

Ok, how are we counting weeks here. My midwife counts from my conception date, so that puts me at 10 weeks tomorrow. But by the way all the books say (except dr. sears) I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow. So which is it--by fetal age, or LMP??

I admit, I prefer by LMP, makes me feel like I'm making progress!!

Thanks, mum2lillie for your words of encouragement. I am still feeling better than I have been but no other problems and the hunger is still raging. It's so strange how we used to feeling icky so quickly, that we worry when it goes away!

Otherwise I am very excited about the whole thing. It's my first so lots of questions and decisions to make but my dh and I and thrilled. We are trying to figure out how we can afford a homebirth right now (insurance only pays for hospital...grrr).

I teach prenatal yoga and am training to be a doula - my passion is birth and babies, but as soon as I got pregnant myself, I realized how much I didn't know! Luckily I have lots of time...

welcome mcsarahb! I never threw up but had serious food aversion and heightened smell/nausea from 6-9 weeks ( I was worried when it went away too )

ciserosum -pretty much everyone uses LMP - all docs, hospitals and books and websites Ive looked at. It just keeps things more organized for tracking- I know here we all are fairly confident when we o'd but the vast majority of women havent a clue. This pregnancy I told a friend I was 2 weeks pregnant. She paused and looked at me funny, like I didnt get it. I laughed and said, yes Im ovulating right now, so I am 2 weeks!! ( I was determined to be pregnant this cycle )
