This question is especially for second time or more mamas. Were your baby boy or girl dreams accurate? When my best friend was pregnant, I dreamt she had a boy, and she did. Last night, I dreamt I had a boy and now I'm wondering...

I'm curious about that too. With DS I had only dreams the baby was a girl. This time, I've had three dreams - first two it was a girl, but in the latest one it was a boy. However, I do think the last one was dealing with my worries about being disappointed if it is a boy, as that was a big part of the dream. I was so determined to be happy no matter what we had - after all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my DS despite being disappointed with him -- but I'm finding myself really getting my hopes set on having a girl.

I dreamed I was having a boy when pregnant with DS. I also had a very strong feeling throughout the pregnancy that he was a boy. With this pregnancy I found out the sex of the baby before having any gender dreams, but I still felt very strongly that the baby was a girl and it is!

Last time, I wanted a little boy sooo badly. Then the baby girl dreams started and I was convinced it was a girl. Which she was.

Same thing happened this time but we've yet to determine the gender scientifically.
Yes, I think they are fairly accurate if the mother is really listening to her body and intuition.

I had nothing but girl dreams with my DS, although consciously I felt like I was having a boy. I haven't had any dreams that I can remember thus far in this pregnancy, but I feel like it may be a girl.

The whole start of this pregnancy, I thought I was having a boy. Then one night at about 10 weeks I was really sick in the middle of the night, and I had a sort of half-awake daydream type thing that very strongly indicated this was a girl (I kept seeing her face over and over and I felt like it was a girl that I was "protecting" by getting rid of whatever was bad in my tummy)...and as far as we know (3 separate people have said so), it is a girl.

Okay...my story.
12 years ago I was engaged to my first love...woke up next to him one morning because I was dreaming holding a baby boy that looked nothing like us (baby was golden)...my ex is dark haired and dark eyed as I am.

7 yrs later I was pregnant with my son and KNEW he was a boy from the moment I knew I was pregnant. And sure enough he was my golden boy....golden hair and golden brown eyes...a cross between me and his blond/green-eyed dad.

About 6 months before I conceived this baby I dreamed I was birthing a baby girl in a kneeling position at home...

I don't know if this baby is a boy or girl...but we will see

I knew DD1 was a girl and I knew the moment we concieved. My sister and I both had girl dreams too.
DH knew this time that "this one took" and I would be preg. A few weeks later he told me I'm glowing, he kept on my case until I did a home test and... he was right.
DH would like a boy because we have a girl already, I said another girl because that is what I felt right away (and I really really really want another girl), but so many other people have said boy this time and I am definatly not as "in tune" as I was last time I am confused. I hope to find out at s/g in a few weeks.
I've had boy and girl dreams.
My sis says girl, and had girl dreams.

I have had nothing but boy dreams during this pregnancy, and DH and I both felt very strongly from the moment we found out we were pregnant that this is a boy. We were right.

I also had a dream he was born at 12:53pm... so this one I'm waiting paitiently on.

I'm crashing from Sept. DDC, I saw your post as the "First unread post" thing and just wanted to say:

I HOPE NOT!!

My scan said baby was a girl (She had her legs wide open so theres little doubt) yet somehow I continuously dream I'm having a boy - OR TWINS... And worse case scenario I've also had (in seperate dreams) twin kittens, a chicken and a native woodpigeon.... I've only had ONE dream that I've had ONE GIRL. So I'm hoping the answer to that will be no... As I don't think if I had a boy he would look very nice in the Pumpkin Patches red cherry girly attire that I brought a whole heap of when I found out I was having a girl...!

Love your stories, Ahappymel. How beautiful about your golden boy

For me, I haven't had any specific baby dreams yet. People are telling me 50/50 boy/girl, DH thinks it's a boy... and I feel like my intuition is set on broken. We'll see how things progress.

I hope not too - as my only dreams so far were that I had quintuplets and was really stressed out. I was trying to sort everything by color - one baby was purple, one green, orange, etc. and I either didn't have enough colors or they somehow didn't match the baby's gender. And I had a terrible time finding purple and orange baby things...

My only other dream was that I was nursing one of the cats. Blech.

With my first pregnancy, in 1995, I was sure it was a girl. I even named her Emily Lynn, but I miscarried at 10 weeks.

With my second pregnancy, I knew the moment we conceived. Within a couple weeks, I was certain we were going to have a girl. We did. A beautiful blue-eyed, brown curly-haired adorable girl. We named her Abigail Katerina Cordelia P. (this means, father's joy, pure of heart).

With my third pregnancy, I hoped it would NOT be a boy. I don't want a boy, I want another girl. I had a dream I was carrying a little baby girl, with brown hair and brown eyes in an infant carrier around in a road-side store. She was smiling, cute, but crying occassionally. My 20 wk ultrasound told me she is a girl. Yesterday, I had another ultrasound, and they say it's a girl. We have chosen the name Sophia Maria Rosetta P. (this means, wise, wished-for child, enduring beauty).

She was due on between the 12th and 14th of August. I'm still waiting....

I have mixed feelings on this one... I dreamed I was having a girl with my first and I was right... also had a hunch... With my second one I dreamed I had a boy and I had a hunch... he was a boy...

This time I have had both dreams but had a very strong feeling it was a girl. I had my ultrasound last week and they said it was a girl. But then that night I had a dream that I had a boy and I kept telling everyone he wasn't the girl we thought he was!!

So now I am freaked out!

with DD I just "knew" that she was a girl even though we didn't find out until she was born. i would have been blown away if they had told me that she was a boy.
I did have a gender dream that she was a boy but i think that was because we didn't have a boy's name picked out and so i was having one of those "will they let me take the baby home?" kind of dreams.

With this pregnancy, I don't know yet. I go back and forth between thinking that we're having a girl and having a boy. I think I'd be happy with either. on the one hand, i have tons of girls' clothes so i could reuse those and save some money
but on the other hand, DH doesn't want to have any more kids after this
so it might be nice to have one of each.

The first time around I had dreams all the time that it was a blond girl which was wierd because both my husband and I are dark eyed/haired and I had always imagined myself having a son before I got pregnant.

It was right. My daughter is blond and blue eyed.

This time I had a very strong feeling from the start that it was a boy (had no idea that it was twins) but it turns out that most likely the twins are boys.

So who knows? Maybe it was just lucky guesses but I don't know.

I don't have gender dreams, but my Mom does and she's been right so far. She knew exactly what my brother and I were before we were born (no U/S so no cheating). She knew that I would have twin boys and I did. She knew I was pregnant with a girl before I even knew I was pregnant and I ended up having DD.

This time is tricky. She's had 2 dreams of different genders. She knows that I'll have another girl and another boy but isn't sure about the order. She has dreamed that she'll deliver the boy in my bedroom. I'm planning a UC this time so who knows?
