Vent-I started this process a D and just got some new bras in the mail- and an F is too small!! Is this happening to anyone else? I did not expect this at all, maybe a size or two but...are there any special concerns re:breastfeeding with larger breasts to make sure baby is able to breathe safely? i'm haunted by the recent news story of the mama who accidentally smothered her 4 week old while on a flight-

I'm normally a DD and my boobs are getting bigger. Though I have not gotten a new bra so idk what size I'm at now. As for bf... Yes you have to be careful not to cover the babys nose regardless of breast size... But the bigger the boobs the more careful you have to be.

This time around I haven't had such a rapid expansion, but when I was pg with DD the F was too small for me too. It was pretty unbelievable! Luckily, after the birth when my milk came-in, my boobs didn't expand much more than what they already were.

This time around, I started a D and am now an E, so the expansion hasn't been as dramatic.

I think BFing with larger breasts does have a special set of challenges, just because you have so much more boobage to "handle". I never really worried about smothering my DD while nursing, though, because I was either holding the breast or in side-lying position. And once the babe gets a little bit of head control, they can turn their head if they have trouble breathing.

I read that same article, and while it was extremely tragic, I don't think it's very common occurance.

I hear you..... I was a DD pre-pg and was up to an F by 8wks.... and those bras are starting to get tight now at 18 weeks. I'm going to try and hold out a bit longer before buying even bigger sizes!

Yup, I'm another one [raises hand]. I was a DD pre-pregnancy. The new bras I just bought are F and one of them is a bit small.

Good to know I am among my big-bosomed women My mother is a AA and by sisters are A/B cup so sometimes I feel quite alone in my plight!
