We've only been CD for about three months and I'm still trying to check out various brands before our son is born this fall. I got three Swaddlebees from eBay, they're in great shape and came with their own inserts, size L, and my 2yo dd soaks through them - completely - with one pee! Today I tried one again and I put in two small hemp doublers (that I also got, new, from a wahm on eBay) in addition to the SB insert, and within half an hour the dipe was soaked through her shorts.
Am I just being stupid and I should have put some kind of cover on over these dipes? I thought they were your basic pocket dipe but it's dawned on me that they don't have the waterproof inner layer that my FBs have so perhaps I need a cover.

Yup, those are pocket fitteds and they need a cover.

It might seem like a hassle, but pocket fitteds can be *wonderful* for overnight. Just stuff the heck outta them and top with a wool cover and it will bullet proof.

ETA: The seller should not have stated that the diapers were "just like Fuzzi Bunz". That is totally misleading since FB *are* waterproof. She shouldn't even be using the name "fuzzi bunz" in her auction. Most people that do that are doing it so they get more hits and I think it may even be against the rules. If you are disappointed with them, it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask for a refund and offer to send them back.

First of all, just like what PP said, it's claimed to be like FB. Not only that, but the description she has on the item is for our current hemp pockets that has an inner layer of organic velour. Those shown in the picture are clearly our older style hemp pockets that are all hemp and ones we've stopped making for over a year already. Only reason I know is because we've eliminated the leg casings on the hemp pockets.
