These eyes look gray to me. It's not uncommon for gray eyes to have flecks of gold in them, and I see some light gold around the pupil in this photo. The pupil probably expands indoors and covers the gold, which would make them look more gray.
Hazel eyes are usually described as being a combination of green and brown.
My son had gray eyes until he was about 3 years old, after that they developed a lot of green in them. By the time he was 5 yrs old people would describe them as "jungle green". Now that he's a teen he has a golden/coppery brown and green combo going on, which I think of as the classic hazel eye color.
I've always loved gray eyes and these are really beautiful!
