My DH thinks I'm nuts for perseverating on this, but for some reason I'm stuck on it.

We've chosen the name Phaedra for our LO, and we'd love the middle name to be Elise. But her last name will be an S. Technically S-J. So she'll be PES-J. Is the PES too weird? Why do I think this? Nuts?

TIA for your opinions, ladies.

I think its just fine. I don't see anything weird about PES. Phaedra is on our girl list too. Beautiful name!

I'm always glad when parents consider initials when naming their LOs... I have a friend whose 2 daughters' initials are ODR (odor?) and ERR (to err is human)--and, unfortunately, she LOVES to have EVERYTHING monogrammed...

Anyway, back to your question , I don't think PES is weird. I went to school there... tee hee. seriously, though, I don't see anything wrong with PES for initials.
\

ETA: I'm glad when parents consider initials mostly b/c of my DH... his mom was so hellbent on naming him after her family, he ended up with the initials COK. cock. really...

It's better than POS ...

My second's initials are BAO. Not a big deal, except he's 12 and always only uses his first and last initial when anything requires his initials which at this age is usually school forms. BO ...nice...he thinks it's funny

DDC to say that they sound good to me!

I had a friend who almost gave her little boy the initials of A-S-S. I debated for a whole week before I finally had to say something to her about it! They changed the middle initial to P, and APS is much better!

Not bad at all.
Amaia's initials are AZZ, which could potentially be turned into ass by teasers, but we took the risk.
My friend has a daughter whose initials are HOT and she just had a son (on the same day as me) with initials WET. She swears didn't notice until I said, "really, hot and wet??"

Nope, nothing weird at all about PES. I debated a long time about this LO's initials... his name will be Aerick Chaplin and our last name is "C". Initials are ACC... we live in NC, we are huge college basketball fans, and our conference is (you guessed it) the Atlantic Coast Conference or ACC. It doesn't help that DH and I picked the name during March Madness either.

Oh well, maybe DS will grow up and play for Duke, UNC, or Wake Forest.

PES seems perfectly fine.

My DH had picked "Claire" as a middle name, but that would make her initials FCC and I just didn't like it. So we settled on Maeve instead to make her initials FMC.

These responses are pretty darn funny. Thanks for sharing. My mind is at ease now. Just felt like I needed some objective opinions.

I don't see a problem either. Our initials are DJA, JDA, EJA, and ADA. New baby will be MCA. As long as it's not a swear word or sexual innuendo, I wouldn't worry lol
