I have never had to size up Ethan's clothes. As long as you don't use the bulkier options, you should be fine with normal sized clothes

I agree with the other mama it depends on what you diaper with there are trim options out there and bulky ones. There are certain diapers that there is no way I could get on DS with some of his clothes so we wear wool shorts alot but when I do want him to wear some "normal" clothing we just wear a swaddleebees pocket or VB AIO.

I haven't tried Swaddlebees yet, but Fuzzi Bunz and Very Baby AIOs are super trim just like a sposie

I agree that it depends on the clothing but also your child's shape.

Personally, I *love* Osh Kosh clothing because it is roomier than other brands. All of my toddler's Osh Kosh clothes fit great with any cloth diaper.

We are slowly switching to all Swaddlebees pocket diapers, they are amazingly trim but I've never had a leak with them. My kids can wear any clothes with those on!

I don't like to put my kids in any kind of clothing that wouldn't fit over any kind of CD pretty much. I think kids should be in roomy, comfy, soft clothing. So I have never had to go out of my way to find clothing that works specifically with CDs. I like organic anyway and that always fits.

I thought this at first....but once I played around with differing style I learned that I like pockets and prefolds/covers best , which are trimmer..........and I no longer use full onsies...I cut a few I didn't need and use just under shirts now............made things SO much easier!

Now that summer is upon us I love the look of the cloth diapered bum with just a undershirt!

a lot of the boutique brands are made roomier in the booty. i love painting red rhinos brand. osh kosh is roomier as well. and you can find some really good deals on ebay for both

We don't buy anything special, but we do tend to buy bigger sizes (not because they fit over the diaper, but because we like things to fit for awhile, KWIM?). Most baby clothes are stretchy--you just have to be careful with jeans or similar fabric that is not forgiving. I think it's adorable when Livi has cute little hand-me-down 6-12 mos Gap leggings on (she's 7 mos).........her cutie patootie sticking out the back. :LOL I think it grows on you.

On the other hand, it definitely depends on the diaper, because when I use prefolds I'm always amazed at how trim they are, and I have to keep squeezing her tushie so I know it's still there.
