What do you think? Is there life on other planets?

Just to clarify...when I say "is there life on other planets" I don't really mean to ask if anything can grow there...it is more about whether you think there are other "people-like" creatures that live on those planets.

I think the odds favour life on other planets. There are 100 billion stars in our galaxy and some 100 billion galaxies in the universe, for a total of 10^22 potential solar systems. Even if the tiniest fraction of those a) have planets suitable for life, and b) happen to evolve life, there could still be hundreds or thousands of life-sustaining planets in every galaxy.

I doubt we'll ever make contact with any of them though. The best we might be able to do would be to see spectral lines in distant planets that suggest a chemistry suitable to a biosphere.
