Last night, I was rocking the baby to sleep while watching a movie and dh was in the kitchen. He said 'what did you say?' And I said that I hadn't said anything, but I had been thinking that I really wanted him to bring me a drink. It was bizarre- I thought it and he heard it. Similar things have happened 3 or 4 times in the past couple of weeks and we've talked about it, but this is the first time it was 'real time'. The other times were things like he got home from work and had been thinking about having something for dinner and when he got home, it was exactly the way he thought, but without us talking about it.

Anyone share brainwaves with their partners?? Have we been together SO long that we just know what the other is thinking?

DP and I haven't even been together that long and we do this all the time. At work, someone will ask one of us a question and then later ask the other the same question, and the response is uncannily identical. On my way home from work, I will pick up a pizza at Papa Murphy's and then call him to say I'm on my way and he'll ask if I can pick up a pizza from Papa Murphy's. Little things and big things alike, I think there definitely is something to this whole soul mate concept.

all the time...like I will think "shoot, I should have asked dh to pick me up some coffee while he's out" and he will come home with coffee...

I don't know how many times I have asked him to do something and it's already done and he thinks I already asked him...he thinks I forgot I asked him, I think he reads my mind.

I will look at the clock and think...haven't called me yet...and the phone will ring and it's him.

it happens all the time...and it never happened with any other guy...he is ultra sensitive and thoughtful so maybe he just picks up my brain waves.

I am hoping he calls soon because I can't reach him and I have a question...he's in Quebec and the cell doesn't work there

cheers

My beloved and I are like this. Have been since high school. I could also sit right next to the phone and do homework or goof off for hours, it would ring a dozen times or better and I wouldn't touch it. Then it would ring, and I would grab it without thinking and just wait for the recording to start. {he was in basic and calling collect} this was a good eight years before my parents got caller ID...

To this day, I'd say fifty percent of our communications are unspoken. we read each other well, and of course after twelve years, {eight of which we were apart, married to other people and living over five hundred miles apart, not talking or anything} we know each other well. but there's more to it than that..

Mmm HMMM... all the time.

& it makes me nervous at times, because I'll get flashes of other *females* and wonder what I'm really honing in on. Not real ones, but ones from ads in the paper, online, etc. Wonder if it's my sub conscious or if I have to endure his little male fantasies, too.
But we're always doing it, we spend so much time together. When we first met we were right on the same page, same paragraph... same sentence! I never have any doubt that he's my soulmate.
