Arm's Reach Cocoon?

687 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  grniys
Does anyone here have the arm's reach cocoon sleeper? I did a search here and found a topic about it, but there weren't many opinions. I'm hoping that other's have tried it since then.

I ordered one today so it will be here in plenty of time for new baby to arrive. DS never slept in his bassinet, so I'm hoping this will help DS2 sleep.

Please let me know if you have any experience with this one... good or bad!

Thanks!

We had an Amby baby hammock (basically the same thing) when DD was an infant (she's 9 months now). She never really liked it (& it took up a lot of precious space in our tiny apt.), and prefers to be carried all day & sleeps in between us at night. Our neighbor gave it to us, so we weren't out any money.
Sooo, some babies may love it & some do not. I think your best bet would be to see if you can borrow one from someone to test it out before you purchase it

We got one when my son was about a week old. I thought he would like it since he loved the sling and it sort of mimics that position. I read a bunch of positive reviews for it too.

Unfortunately, he doesn't care for it. My husband got him to nap in it for about an hour once, but other than that it has been collecting dust. He likes to be worn for naps and sleeps next to me at night.
Darn. I was hoping for better reactions. Oh well, thanks for the honesty. If he hates it, at least I know it's not just me.

And I already ordered it, so... I suppose if this kid hates it I can always sell it on craigslist. Not many other people have them yet so I should be able to get a decent amount back if it comes to that.
