They did report on MSNBC that John Ramsey did say that Patsy was aware of this suspect before her death.

I will admit that there was a time that I thought that the parents might have been involved - I am glad that John will hopefully be able to find some peace in that someone might finally be brought to justice for his sweet daughter's death.

MSNBC is reporting that the suspect was arrested this morning in Thailand and has confessed to some aspects of the murder - no real specifics about what but I expect that there will be more released in the comming days.

Who has known? Ya lost me in the middle there.

It has seemed likely to me that they were in some way involved... if not in the crime in some of the strange cover up surrounding it. I wonder if it is the man whose name came up in a thread a while back.

No I just mean has this guy been the main suspect and nothing has been said. Which is understandable because they probably didn't want him to run off (however, Thailand is pretty far!). No - I'm just curious if the investigators have known who it was for awhile now because if they did and the charges hold it seems harsh to let the family go through the suspicion. However - I still think they were involved.

I had no idea Patsy Ramsey had died. She died about two weeks ago, and I guess the networks were busy reporting on the Israel/Hezbollah conflict. I'll be curious to see how this whole thing turns out. I've always had a lot of mixed feelings about her parents, and the whole thing... there was just something very odd about it.

I have never thought the Ramseys themselves were involved in this. This kind of crime just didn't fit their "style". Never did they have a convincible motive.

I know this man is innocent until proven guilty, but gosh this is good news.

I can't begin to understand how hard it would be to live with the stigma of premeditatedly killing your own child.

If this man is guilty of the murder, then imo, the whole world owes this couple a huge apology. I think it is especially tragic that Patsy didn't live to see this day.

It sounds to me like they knew there was a reasonable probability that this guy did it, but they couldn't prove it.

This this just gets more confusing! CNN just said something about how the ransom note mentioned the Philipines?? Are there any references to the Philipines in that sex ring?

Was the ransom note ever released fully to the public? I would love to read it.

oh yeah, could be. such a sad case all around.

I can't help but wonder if all the stress involved with her daughter's death, and then the public suspicion of her, contributed to Patsy Ramsey's untimely death.

Wow. I wonder if it is related. Thailand is such a remote place to be arresting a suspect in a 10 year old murder in Boulder, Colorado but it would make sense. You wonder if someone was trying to kidnap her because she was such a beautiful girl who would have been considered "attractive" in a sex ring...if that is the case then her untimely death may have saved her from a lifetime of torture.

So very sad - maybe it is a good thing that Patsy passed away before the arrest if this is the case.
