Our neighbours just built a new fence that boarders our back yard...without consulting us or anything but that's another gripe...however the fence posts they used are treated with arsenic : Thank goodness it's not the whole fence that's treated but it makes me sooo mad! We are trying to grow an organic garden and I don't let Dh use anything on our lawn, although he'd like to spray to control the weeds!

So I have two questions I guess...one what is the best paint to use to seal and hopefully keep it from leaching out (if this is even possilbe).
And two...does anyone know what, if any our legal rights about the whole issue (where I can find out about by laws I guess, in BC, Canada.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction...It just makes me want to sell my house and move!

I don't know but I do know that you don't want your kids touching it. I'm sure you know they've done studies on kids getting really sick from their school playgrounds being made from arsenic-treated wood. Why they didn't buy pressure-treated wood, I don't know!
