I got a bit carried away, but mine is one of the many mentioned that was obsessive about drawing. He's not really into it lately, however.

Aside from drawing a few faces, ds1 didn't draw until he was almost 3. I don't really ever remembering him scribbling. He just wasn't interested.

He did like to make things before then though. This is a digger made from pattern blocks.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...er_mar9_04.jpg

This is a copy of a toy car with driver, from when he was 3 and a half. He added a caterpillar track to the wheels.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...r_dec16_04.jpg

This is a crane. I think it was from, "Are you my mother?". The S shapes are noise. Again, 3.5.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...e_dec12_04.jpg

This was our house facing our open garage. The cars are in the garage, but seen from the back. The foundation is underneath. Our neighbor's house is sort of at an angle to the right, just partly visible. He was almost 4 here.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...se_march05.jpg

He went through a period where he drew things as though they were taken apart, shortly before age 4. This is the ceiling fan taken apart.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...=fan_apr30.jpg

This is the artist taken apart.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...5_benapart.jpg

This is a clown walking, almost 4 again.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...own3_apr05.jpg

This is the artist (partially visible on top) and his truck friends climbing a mountain while ds2 watches from below. The wind is blowing some boxes and poor Digger off the side of the mountain. Age 4.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...mtclimbing.jpg

Age 4, from a learn-to-draw book. He desperately wanted this "learn to draw vehicles" book from the library. The top one is a Japanese Zero plane and the bottom one is (we think) the Lockheed Constellation.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...l05_planes.jpg

This one's from August. He got into making instructions. He was upset that we wouldn't buy him glass to make a display case for his digger, so he made instructions to show how one could remove "scratchies" or sharpness from glass so that it would be safe for him to handle. The big square is step one. There's a hand outstretched, ready to take a shovel with the sheet of glass on it. There are scissors next to the shovel, ready for the job. The middle squares are steps 2 and 3 (scratchy removal process and scratchy disposal into trash). The top square is the finished product.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...structions.jpg

This is from the other day. It's a banana truck behind a car. The banana truck has its side raised up to reveal its engine and gas lines.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...ananatruck.jpg

The 10 planets in orbit. Pluto and planet 10 (is it Xena?) have moons. Africa is visible on Earth.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk..._10planets.jpg

He hasn't really been into drawing like he used to be. He made these machines out of pattern blocks. I mean, he draws sometimes, but it's not obsessive like it used to be.
http://photobucket.com/albums/y6/hrk...l_machines.jpg
