Hello, pleased to meet you all.

My nephew and I are writing the first of what will hopefully become a series of fantasy fiction books. As crazy as it sounds we are looking around for buyers for the land we own (we live in a rental separate from our wooded property) and use the money as income for a year so that dh can stop working outside of the home and care for the little ones while I write more. Needless to say we are pretty serious about writing our book. I could use all the encouragement I can get from you all, as you can imagine the extended family is less than pleased by our plans.

Good luck! How great that your DH is supportive. Extended families are always tough to manage when something less than ordinary is involved. Hugs.

My dh is actually really excited about the prospect of getting to stay home with the kiddos with me. The general family view (both sides) is that he is wanting to be lazy and just lay around the house not doing anything all day. It really clarifies what their true opinion of what I do all day really is. Or maybe that is only the way they feel when a man does it?

Oh well, our life, not theirs.
