I live in a small town that's close to a bigger center. That's where we go to get therapies for DD. We're lucky in that we can go to one place to access everything we need for her rignt now. The therapy service includes OT, SLP and behavior, has social skills groups and interventionists. It's all good.

But I have no access to real life support groups or programs for me that are local to where I live. I can't do meetings in the bigger center because I have a toddler. DD has a sleep disorder so evening meetings are also out. It's been a challenge finding supports for myself and my husband.

What's your experience been with getting support for yourselves as parents as you process your child's experience on the spectrum?
