I love this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbeZK1W12Zw

1. Videos can come from any ASD parent, irregardless of your view of autism (i.e. neurodiverse minded or anti-neurodiverse)

2. Entries must be at a minimum of 3 minutes and sent as a response to this video.

3. Entries must show your child's unique personality, in a positive way. This could be a demonstration of a talent, something you're proud of, something you would never change about your child. When someone outside the autistic community sees the video "they would think this is a beautiful and unique child that has a loving parent." Videos should not be about the parents but about the child. No mention of any type of therapy. Show your child in a natural state doing something fun or funny or cute. You get the idea.

Well that's cool. I assume they're trying to counter Autism Every Day? I found this funny (Not offensive, just funny... ) :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjAko...elated&search=

What a neat idea. I have a ton of footage of my silly kiddo. I guess that means break out the camcorder, lol. Although my editing would never be up to speed, I think its a great message they are promoting.

If you click on his username, you get his "mission"

" AutisticNation will be a 501 c (3) {charitable} organization promoting accurate images of autistic people, both to promote a positive understanding of autism as well as to counteract organizations such as Autism Speaks, All money raised by the foundation will be used for scholarships as well as assistive devices for autistic people. The website is not up yet, but should be in the near future."

He's actually got some really neat videos up -- he is autistic himself (Aspberger's) and has a son who is also autistic (Kanner's).

These two are quite interesting:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82hWuQalYkw (note: LONG - but is a really nice discussion from an autisitic person's point of view of the value of something like Floortime)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trym2trONes (This is beautiful - I love the interaction between the son and his dad)

Don't care about the contest, but think the message is a cool one so I created a video for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCFEXE6bSOw
