DD is 15 months, and still no sign of AF. (Yea! except that it makes me nervous about sex, since we used Fertility Awareness b/f & I'm not using anything now, and DON'T want to get pg for another yr. or so...) Anyway, at the risk of TMI, I've had lots of, um, cervical fluid in the past week, which normally would be a sign of ovulation & AF on her way--but the fluid used to last about 3 days and it's been a WEEK. I was on dpd from about 6- 12 mo., but have been off for 3 months, so have been expecting my friend any time now...

Well, I JUST got mine back last week at 21 mos PP.
I have not changed a single thing nursing-wise. She still nurses as much, if not more than she did 2 months ago, which is at least 6 times/day. I'm curious to see if it is on schedule next month or if it will be screwy for a few months.

Hi Nate,
Our babies are 4 days apart
I still have no AF. I work full time during the school year so I pumped until March. Then I gave my overworked boobies a break and started sending DS to the sitter with soy or cow's milk. All that time, however, I nursed through the night, and still do. I have heard that delays the return of fertility. Do you nurse at night?

We also use ecological bf as birth control, but really shouldn't get pg for another year. Gosh are you my twin? LOL I hate to admit that we're using bf as birth control, but I keep rationalizing it because of the absence of AF. I hope it doesn't bite me in the bum.

I got ppaf when ds was 11 months old, he's 18 months old now, he still nurses often, day and night, and doesn't eat much in the way of solids.
CM can go through patches of fertile/non fertile for a while as your hormones are getting back to "normal". My first cycle was 4 months long and I had long stretches of fertile CM until I finally ovulated.
It sounds like your body might be gearing up for AF sometime soon, but it could take a while.

FitMama;
My dh is Tony. Unfortunately, dd was not a Bradley baby--I had every intervention you can name, including c/s. Long story. But I think maybe we are twins!

But yes, I pumped for a year, and we do lots of night/wkd nursing, although I'm hoping to night wean relatively soon. Who knows what that means, though...

Everyone else, thanks for the info! I guess maybe we'll just play Russian roulette...

hope it stays away b/c we are trying to use fertility awareness as bc.

First AF was on ds' 13mo birthday... no sign on second AF although I think I may have O'd this weekend. I'm not temping or anything right now. Dh doesn't want another baby right now (possibly never), so I'm kinda emotional right now on top of being who-knows-where in my cycle. If dh was ready to ttc, it wouldn't bother me that AF has returned but since he isn't I really wish I was still having lactation ammenorhea.

Well, guess who showed up this morning, 15 months & 11 days later...
: OTOH, it's been a lovely 2 years w/o her!

So far fairly mild, but we'll see. I hope she stays away again for a while after this. Esp. since I have about 2 pads in the house and wasn't planning to go to the store until the wkd...

My daughter is 17 months and not even a hint of the old gal! I would really like to ttc, though, so I am one of the few mamas saying, "Please come back
!"

Oooh! Time to go shopping for mama pads!
That makes it somewhat better, if you are shopping for a DivaCup or mama pads or something. I guess it's blowing the cash (in a good way though!) that helps with the evil
.
