My Dh is a pilot and we are looking at moving closer to the airport. We are currently in Cartersville (moved for a job that later went bankrupt). I have been looking intown at crasftman bungalows, mainly in Sylvan Hills and Capitol View. From what I have read they are up and coming neighborhoods and would be a great commute for DH. I know there's a park down the street, but what else is there? What do you think/know about these neighborhoods? Any info would be helpful, good or bad. Thanks!!

Capitol View has been called "up-and-coming" for as long as I can remember! It has a great location, that's for sure. There was an AJC article on the crime rate there, and I would not, in good conscience, recommend this neighborhood to anyone with small children. Homes being robbed repeatedly, despite security systems, dogs, etc...scary stuff Lots of drugs and prostitutes on the streets the last time we drove through.

East Point is cute! I also have friends in College Park who like it very well....and we used to live a bit further south in Peachtree City, and we loved it there! Wonderful, wonderful town with an easy commute to the airport.

Good luck!!!

I think College Park would be good too. We have friends looking to move out there since it's cheaper than Inman/Candler/Lake Claire/East Atlanta.
