Hi,

Please help a new mom find a sensitive dentist for a sensitive five year old, who is very afraid. We live on the rockdale/dekalb line. I really need someone who allows the parent to be present and has that special touch. Also, an office that offers something before the shot.

Oh, I'm spacing on her name but I really liked the other dentist (female) in Dr. Dressler's office. I didn't like him for his bedside manner. They are pretty alternative/holistic -- didn't make me get x-rays. And the cetacaine rubbed on my gums made the injection almost painless. Why haven't I had that before ????

Dr Kevin Magid, in Decatur, was fabulous. Very prompt office, too. Great with my then-six-yo, her first dentist's visit, and assumed I'd be in the room the whole time. Very sensible dentist too- no desire to do early orthodontia and all that nonsense.

Did either of these dentist offer the children any syrup/gas instead of the shot. Also, are they ped dentist or general practice. Can you give me some more details.
