For those of us who are overweight to begin with, do you have any plans for minimizing weight gain and such? Reflecting upon my pregnancies before, I only gained 35 lbs. each time, but my diet really wasn't the best at ALL. So this time I'm considering adopting a sort of GD-type diet to help my metabolism out, as well as doing SOME form of exercise daily, even if it's just walking. I'm a working-full-time-RN, so I'm on my feet all day long, but it's not the same as exercise. Any other thoughts?

I'm in a similar situation, my job keeps me on my feet the whole shift.. and there's walking every hour, but it's not really exercize either. I am GF because i have celiacs, so that actually helped me lose about 30 lbs once I learned that and got on the diet.

I need to just walk and do some yoga. My problem is that I'm reallly tired right now and temporarily working two jobs, so it's all i can do to make sure I get enough sleep!

I don't want to gain more than around 30lbs either. I think that's enough. I plan on limiting my "empty" calories and trying harder to get lots of fresh fruit and veggies each day, and more lean protein and rice. I love a diet like that, but it's convenience/time that often messes me up!
