Thanks! I've got two wonderful Asperger boys here.

It's a shame the debate is driving people apart. I don't believe there is one cause for Autism. I think it's like Asthema. There isn't just one cause. It may be 100% diet or thermosil in many cases, but there may also be many other cases with different causes.

My third son had Asperger's before he ever had a vaccine, was born UC without drugs, herbs or anything just healthy foods and vitamins taken by mom and passed to him through his diet of 100% breastmilk until he was nearly 1, and started solids. Blows my theories about it being too many drugs in birth causing it!

I don't get why there has to be "one" cause. I just don't. So why all the debate? Everyone wants to be right, why can't they all be partially right? It's like parents who "need" others to agree with them to validate themselves. Whatever, while they all fight like babies over who is right or wrong there is no one really looking out for our CHILDRENS' interests. Instead they are using our children as propaganda to sell their ideas and prove their points, painting our children as burdens and using them as tools. It just makes me sick.

Welp, that's what happens when people treat "cure" like a freaking religion.
Ugh.

Yes, I wish people would just quit trying to ram their respective theories down everyone else's throat, like some sort of dogma.

Well said. I was recently approached to be part of a documentary on autism, and I refused. I have no idea in what light it will be cast, and quite frankly don't want to be part of starting yet another "war" within the autism community.

Enough. It amazes me, that with something like autism, some people haven't yet figured out that what works for one family/child might not for another, and that there is no way you have to do things. I don't agree with lots of stuff other moms I know do, but you know what? It's their business, and they love their kids just as much as I love mine, and they're trying, and that's what matters.

I totally agree- many causes, many things that may help or not help depending on each individual case.
