I haven't used one but I LOVE the one we have called Babe Nose Blow (http://www.babynoseblow.com/) -- I picked one up on ebay. It's awesome. There is also the Nosefrida (http://www.nosefrida.com/) that may be easier to find as well and is the same concept.

Honestly, this is the grossest, best baby thing we own. You don't actually get snot in your mouth of course, but the concept of it is still kinda icky in theory, but it does an amazing job and I'm so glad we have one.

Do you use this with older babies too?
I just bought the nose freida from amazon and my LO is 7 months old. We could have really used this for a bad cold a couple months ago but am wondering to what baby age folks use this til?
Thanks!

i would hyperventilate using the nose frida lol! my kids have mega snot.

dh and i talked about the electric one and thought there is no way it would be strong enough to suction our baby. poor thing is getting over pneumonia just now and the snot is like cement!

we just bought an automatic one, i forget the brand, whatever they have at walmart...i think it's evenflo?
anyhoo, we got it for my 2 yr old's latest *horrid* cold, because although he can blow his nose, he rarely will do it...He also had very thick snot, but a squirt of nasal saline pre-suctioning helps thin it all out and it suctions right out. good gadget. i think the nosefrida would give me some type of panic attack, lol, i couldn't do it, crunchy as i am...just seeing the demo pics makes me gag, lol.

I have one and I really like it. My DS was only a few weeks old when he came down with a cold. This really helped! He doesn't like it but it is quick and effective...much better than suctioning with the bulb 500 times.

I wanted this when I had DS (the automatic one - im not sucking no thank you lol) - the cheapest in our country though is £40 (though it comes with three different tips for childs age and type of snot! lmao). However - this time around - it is DEFF my number one baby item I HAVE to have!... as well as a wipes warmer! lmao

another huge fan of nosefrida. wish we had gotten one sooner. it really is not gross, though i can see why you might think it is. we got ours at whole foods for 18.00. pricy but worth every penny.
