Hi there-
My 2 year old has multiple food sensitivities and in thinking about getting pregnant again (gasp!) I'm wondering about people's experience with subsequent pregnancies. I know the advice is to avoid your/your first child's allergens while pregnant again, but has this worked for you? I have a friend whose second little one has even more food issues than the first and man, is she discouraged!- so just looking for some anecdotal evidence here.
Thanks-
This is a big question, but here is a good starting place: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=471144 (pay attention to what JaneS says and also the discussion of gut health)
Hi there,
I'm prego w/ my 2nd at 21 wks and trying very hard to avoid peanuts, eggs and milk. I've had cheese and other nuts though. It's so hard to avoid. My first son is allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, treenuts and a few others. I'm wondering if this will have any effect for this pregnancy. I did eat a ton of eggs, milk and peanut butter w/ first pregnancy in order to gain more weight, but it totally back fired.

I avoided peanuts, tree nuts and soy during my second pregnancy mostly because my daughter was still nursing, so I couldn't eat them anyway. My son is only 10 months old, so we're still not sure if he has allergies (he's way mellower than dd and doesn't have the constant green poop or spit up like she did though.)
