Babies and mommies against daddies.

Yes indeed , our daddie needs bootcamp .

i.e.
how is it possible to always put on a diaper so that is wicks our all over poor baby otis' back and mommies tummy? Luck? or just simply that fact that he is in fact a daddie?

I take a shower hand daddie calm collected baby , I get out of shower baby in no longer calm nor collected.

The daddies of the world need to be reformed!

oh mpls....sorry to hear. the only thing i can tell you is - it will get better with a little time. this is all new to them, and while they have some hard wired and hormonal care giving to help them, its no where near the amount we have. i found out that pointing out dh's 'mistakes' would often backfire. i had to allow him some space and time to try and fail and try again and learn...even if it meant (too often) that i would end up picking up the peices (i.e. calming fussy baby with breast milk). hope he's a fast learner!

ie
how is it possible that my baby's daddy put a kissaluv on inside out and topped it with a bumpy wrap ALSO INSIDE OUT! it was amazing...

but his excuse is that he only sees his kid once a week, and must think that the tags go on the inside.

Hey just need to be the voice of reason here.

I agree with reform full heartedly, but I ain't got no daddy's even *tryin'* to do diaper duty.

I do tell the babysitters, though...(kissaluvs)
"Just remember that the smoothe part of the snaps runs across the belly...tag on the outside....". Cloth diaps are tricky...even the all in ones are rocket science...for the daycare folks too!

Good luck with the b.m.a.d. I love the abbreviation. I've been pissed for years!

ha ha!! can I sign up my husband??? Although, after 6 months he is doing much better!!! Although now his big problem, since I had to go back to work, is washing out the bottles. He washes them out and then I go to work, take them out to pump and they're all dirty!! I don't know what he does with them..i see them in the sink, hot soapy water and scrub brush in his hand, so....he tries though. At least he acknowledges that since I spend so much time pumping and Bfing that he can wash out those darn bottles. Which, btw, are a big PAIN. But I can also say he is a great SAHD!!! He and O have a blast together.

My BIG problem is I wish I could just walk out the door for even a half and hour by myself with out any worries. That when I got back Otis would be sleeping , Curl would just be doing something. I take a nap and when I get up Otis is a mess Curl's a mess and I allways have to pick up the pieces and its making me bitter and in the mindset of "I'll just do it." Last night I took the first shower in six days. Curl's back in school so he works 10 am to 5 pm then goes to class at 5:30 and gets home at 10:30 or 11. I get mine , we have a lil'squirt diaper cleaner thing on our toliet and Curl sprays the poopy diapers out too hard all the time and get poop in his mouth.

(psst... mpls_momma... if O is still just on breast milk, there's no need to spray off those poopies. They'll come out in the wash just fine)

I hear you on leaving the babe with daddy long enough to take a nap. Seems like the last time I tried that, G ended up with a big bruise on her head and needed boob to calm down.

To give him credit where it's due, though, he's great at putting her to sleep for the night.
