There are a few really cute soakers on Ebay by this seller and I was wondering if anyone has heard or used these? I would love any feedback you might have before I make any decisions. Thanks!

I swear I reviewed them the other day...maybe the mods are behind on approving reviews...or I'm screwy.

Anyway, I really like ours. Ds is 26# and a Large fits well. The legs hang loose, but that's not an issue for us, the diaper is for containment. =) I usually have him wear it unrolled at the waist b/c rolling it brings it a bit below the diaper in the back.
I have two of them. She said they came lanolized (duh, I almost typed "laminated" LOL). But for some reason they leaked and the dye got all over my son's sheets!

I haven't tried them again since then. I did get some WOW wool wash, but I rinsed it out and apparently you're not supposed to rinse the soap off when you lanolize --so the soaker has been sitting on my tub till I figure out what to do with it!

Don't tell me that! I just bought one yesterday.
I've not had any problems, but I have not tried them overnight.
We have a beautiful one that fits Jade well. The legs are wide, but they come down low enough that they cover the diaper with no problem. I haven't ever used mine overnight. It's pretty thin compared to my Aristocrat, so I consider it a "day-weight" soaker -- at least for us.

There's a pic of Jade wearing hers on this page, about half-way down: LINK

That's a medium. She was about 16 pounds in the photo.

Customer service for us was excellent. Lori, you should email the maker. I'd bet she would want to know about your problem with the dye.
soaker and I love it! IT is still a favourite and we have never had a leak, we use it at night. I love the long waist!!
I have one, with another on the way. I really like it. I have other knit wool covers (Kool Sheep and LTK) and I like this as much as those. It has never bled when Lulu has worn it - even during a long nap. I've never used it for overnight, I prefer using a wool flannel type cover. I agree on the leg holes being a bit big. A BIG plus for a chunky baby. For avarage sized babies (like my DD) the bigger holes havent been a problem - no leaks. I think its the way that they are knit that doesn't let it leak.

As far as using WOW woolwash, you are supposed to rinse it after washing your cover. It contains 7% lanolin as opposed to Euculan which containes 2% (I called them and asked).

I am uncertain - but i think I have read that if you are having problems with a soaker bleeding you are supposed to wash it with something like Woolite (that will remove the lanolin), then soak it in water and white vinegar. Then relanolize. Someone may want to correct me on that, though.

Wow, I guess it was just a freak thing then.
I'll try lanolizing it again and using it! I just never used wool before so I was afraid after that incident LOL
Sherry, what about the WOW soap? LOL
I meant to look on the website for directions, I will do that when I wash the cover next time.

just rinse the suds in cool water. Hot water will wash away lanolin left but cool water will just wash away the soap

I am now sending out a full page of instructions to help anyone that is confused. So if anyone wants one I can drop one in teh mail. Just email me
